Ill start this by saying im not super sure if i have De Quervain tenosynovitis but when i googled the offical name for thumb tendonitus its what came up so not sure if theyre the same thing. I got diagnosed with tendonitis a year or two ago and im not sure how to live with it as it hurts on the daily and limits what im able to do. Texting hurts, im unable to game on my switch anymore due to the pain, i cant even scoop my cats litter box because it just hurts. does physical therapy help or is it not worth going, if so does it even help long term? does anyone have any advice on how to ease the pain ive tried braces, ice packs, pain meds, nothing helps

One person mentioned that they found relief from the pain of de Quervain's tenosynovitis through steroid shots in their wrists. Another suggested wearing a wrist brace every night while sleeping and taking turmeric, an herbal supplement for inflammation. They also mentioned having done 12 weeks of physical therapy which might suggest it could be beneficial. However, these are individual experiences and may not apply to everyone.
