I am seriously being affected way too much by social media. Like I overthink the photos I have on my social media and I’m becoming way too critical and insecure over my pictures. I’m overthinking everything like what people see my photos, what they think, how many followers I have, if my selfies are too ugly, like it’s bad. I just posted a photo that I loved and lost so many followers and got such little likes and now I feel so insecure about myself. This is so unhealthy but I’m afraid to delete my account because I have a lot of old pictures saved on there that I want but if I just delete the app I always download it again and the vicious cycle starts up again. Idk why I feel this way, I never have before. I used to be secure with myself but now I’m so insecure with how I look and how I am I don’t want to feel this way.

Have you considered taking a break from social media? Being on social media constantly has a terrible effect on mental health. You don't need to worry about your follower count or your looks, you're perfect the way you are and you should never let things like social media or what people online say make you feel otherwise. Please take a break from social media for a while if it's hurting you

First of all, you are beautiful. Your worth is not defined by the amount of likes you have on an app. Second of all, you should try and take a break from social media. Or just spend less time on it. And I know that's easier said than done, because I know social media is addicting. But there are ways to help yourself, just like there's ways to quit smoking or gambling. You can put a set amount of time to how much you can use one app per day, try and spend less time on your phone, and connect with other people who've had similar experiences. I wish you luck, you can always message me if needed. Never define yourself by things like this and always know you are worthy, amazing, beautiful and loved.
