Through my bad depression, I do a reward system. It's stupid I know but it does work. I reward myself no matter the task. It helps a lot. Get out of bed? Reward. Brush teeth? Reward. Feed dog? Reward. Everything gets a reward no matter how small or stupid the task is, it helps to keep me moving throughout the day so I don't become a blob in a dark room. It has a 60/40 chance of working depending on the day. I also keep track of my mood too using an app called dailyo and I write small notes throughout the day of what made me have a smidge of happiness and what made my mood worse. For anxiety, I do a mix of music, my dog, and plushies. I usually do breathing techniques when I go to a quiet area to calm down in. Hopefully you find something that helps you šŸ¤—

what is an example of a reward for you? When I'm depressed I often don't find anything positive, so it's hard to find something rewarding

chocolate like those gold coins from Lindt. I love those and I buy a bulk of them any chance I get if they are on sale as it's expensive candy.

Me personally what I do is I look up Bible verses that speak concerning depression and anxiety and write them down to help me remember God's promises

I like a good cry in the shower. I also watch vintage episodes of Real Housewives and remind myself that at least my life isn’t as bad as those women’s

Sometimes It honestly helps me to cry it out. Sometimes I vent to my partner. Or make a therapy appointment for sometime soon if I’m really spiraling. Having an as needed anxiety med helped too.
