Through my bad depression, I do a reward system. It's stupid I know but it does work. I reward myself no matter the task. It helps a lot. Get out of bed? Reward. Brush teeth? Reward. Feed dog? Reward. Everything gets a reward no matter how small or stupid the task is, it helps to keep me moving throughout the day so I don't become a blob in a dark room. It has a 60/40 chance of working depending on the day. I also keep track of my mood too using an app called dailyo and I write small notes throughout the day of what made me have a smidge of happiness and what made my mood worse.
For anxiety, I do a mix of music, my dog, and plushies. I usually do breathing techniques when I go to a quiet area to calm down in.
Hopefully you find something that helps you š¤
I like a good cry in the shower. I also watch vintage episodes of Real Housewives and remind myself that at least my life isnāt as bad as those womenās
Sometimes It honestly helps me to cry it out. Sometimes I vent to my partner. Or make a therapy appointment for sometime soon if Iām really spiraling. Having an as needed anxiety med helped too.
