Hi there, I just wanted to ask and see if anyone’s on methotrexate, and if it helps? If it’s not too personal, what are you taking it for? My doctor suspects I have AS and put me on it and I just haven’t ever met anyone on it
I was on methotrexate for RA but I could not tolerate it. Gave me severe headaches and diarrhea. I was basically out of commission for a whole day after each dose.
Update: Just changed to 10 pills broken up into 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 at night for absorption. I have been on methotrexate for about 10 years now.
I take four pills weekly for juvenile arthritis. I don’t have bad side effects as long as I take it after having a huge dinner and wait until close to bedtime before taking them. I’ve been on them for a few years now. I actually started on five pills but last year my doc and I decided we could try only four and I’ve been doing alright
