Overwhelmed by Health Anxiety and Sensory Overload

The past three weeks, suddenly, there was a feeling of pressure in my neck and throat. I scheduled to see my PCP and my Endocrinologist but I didn’t make it there. The sensory issues surrounding this feeling were so intense I stopped eating, drinking and taking my psych meds. I thought I was going to die. I went to the ER and my air ways were clear and my thyroid was in check and I was not dying. I was just experiencing sensory overload to what most likely is acid reflux or gerd. Has anyone on the spectrum with anxiety ever been so overwhelmed and scared they went to the ER for something minor? Or does anyone on the spectrum also have gerd, and does it drive you mad? If so, how do you cope with the sensory overload?
