Have you been diagnosed with celiac disease? If so, have you spoken to a dietician about foods that are safe for you? Being diagnosed with a life altering condition can be devastating. Grieving the loss of food freedom is a real thing. Continuing to harm your body with food it can't handle will definitely lead to long term damage, so you'll need to come to grips with your diagnoses sooner than later. Platforms like this are helpful to work through the stages of grief. All of us have been there. ❤️

You really should be worried and should take it more seriously. Celiac has over 200 known symptoms, so even if you’re not feeling the obvious pain, vomiting, or diarrhea, you may be experiencing other symptoms and leaving your body susceptible to developing other medical conditions. Apart from cancer, you’re also at a higher risk for seizures or epilepsy, osteoporosis or osteopenia, depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders, miscarriages, developing other autoimmune diseases, etc. Those are just a few of many. Even a one time binge will temporarily weaken your immune system making you more likely to contract infectious diseases. Remember that there is no cure or treatment to celiac and the ONLY way to prevent these things is by cutting gluten out of your diet.

@clueless I agree 💯 great response. If I have any gluten it eats up my joints, Small intestines, lowers my thyroid, iron levels. Vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, fatigue, itchy body. And a.bimch of other symptoms. Now I have an iron deficiency and I have to get iron infusions. Because my celaic disease causes my body to not absorb iron. I was a pasta, pizza, noodles lover. Gluten free pastas are made from corn and rice so it has a sweet taste. But the gluten free spaghetti tastes really good.

You would have to eat an immense amount of gluten for a prolonged period of time. Of course avoid it in the future, but one day won't hurt you permanently!❤

Ok thank you I've been eating gluten for years and I've recently started the gluten free diet so that's why I'm worried and I have gastritis too

hi there! long term effects of eating gluten over and over for long periods of time can cause harm and damage to your intestines. one day of gluten is not going to cause cancer, however you really should avoid it at all costs. it can be tempting but every time you eat gluten it does damage your intestines. with time, and with no gluten exposures, your GI tract will heal itself so long as you’re following a gluten free diet! hope this helps
