I was diagnosed with depression when I was 19 or 20 and I'm 37 years old now. I never ever thought I would live to this age with all the stuff that happened to me. My biggest regret would've been ending things early. I worked on my mental health. Never stopped taking care of myself. Eventually I found success. I don't suffer from anything any more. You are very young and there's so so so much to experience in life. You might not find a spouse this year, you might not feel better soon but I promise you that things will change. You have to be that change. I met my partner in my mid-30s after many relationships. He's everything I've ever dreamed about. If you were to tell me at 18 years old that I would meet someone like him, have the job that I have now, be where I am now, I would curse you out and tell you to stop lying. There's hope for you. Never give up, work towards change. Happiness is worth the work.

tw: suicide I feel that. When I was in high school I didn't think I'd live to graduate, I had hoped I wouldn't. I attempted suicide when I was 19 and I did again when I was 22. I'm 23 now and I live with my best friend, I talk to my group of friends on discord every night, I enjoy my job at a dog daycare. It takes time, and it might not always feel like you're getting better. But it's going to be worth it in the end, at least it has been so far for me

I actually struggled with this same thing. I didn’t think I’d make it to 18. Now I’m 21. It’s very difficult to get back into life. I would say try to put your focus somewhere. If you’re going to college, take interesting classes that you’d enjoy. If you’re going to work, find a job that you can put positive energy into. And you eventually find people and experiences that you want to live for. I hope that helps a little. It’s cliche but I promise it gets better my friend ❤️
