I’m sure we all have heard that Fibromyalgia doesn’t get worse overtime or that it’s not “progressive”. But does anybody feel like that’s exactly what’s happening. Everything is getting worse! Each year is worse than the last. The symptoms keep changing and new ones happening.

I definitely feel like mine has gotten worse over the years. I used to be able to deal with the pain and go about my day, but my bad days seem to have not only gotten worse with pain, but also come about more frequently. Some days all I want to do is lay in bed and cry. It's so draining physically and emotionally. I am a teacher and the past few years I have seriously considered looking for a new job because I don't feel like my body can handle teaching anyone. It breaks my heart to think about it. I love being in the classroom with my little learners but it is such a challenge on my body anymore.

That’s exactly what’s happening to me… it’s happening faster to me now… I’m so tired of my pain management and doctors 😭
Oh believe me Fibromyalgia dies get worse as we get more symptoms. It started with me 50 years ago & I wonder how much worse it can get.
I’m so sorry, it’s so misunderstood, I tell me pain dr. To give me tramadol. It helps a little if you want I can send you some
@Fibrofoggirl it just made me feel high really but it didn’t help me at all.
Disease is progressive not fibro, fibro can be given as a false diagnosis in many ankylosing spondylitis cases and arthritis
@Nekoshi based off of research I’ve been worried about AS … especially since I have DDD and DD ..
In my experience, I agree. I think it would be better for people to frame it as not visibly degenerating (i.e. how arthritis can cause visble change to bone structure) rather than not degenerating period. I definitely think and have found that fibromyalgia can get worse over time in terms of pain, fatigue, mobility, etc. I used to mostly only deal with pain and intense pain in certain areas, but overtime that has expanded to other symptoms beyond pain people don't talk about enough and caused intense pain everywhere. I've always (and still hold) that my wrists/hands and neck/back are the worst, but on bad days I'm considering a cane, something inconceivable to me 2 years ago

@blue89 no apologies needed lol thanks for responding! It seems like things are getting more intense than before.
@JustRachelle more intense is a good way to describe it, as well as more present, seeing it more in day-to-day life
@blue89 Very long, apologies Tl;DR- agree it can be progressive
Same thing is happening to me! Sending love your way ❤️
@1lovemyheatingp8d ❤️ ❤️
I feel the exact same way and I would venture to guess those who say it's not progressive (or even autoimmune related, for that matter) have never experienced it. I will be praying you are able to find some relief. Hang in there!
@PineappleSunshine same here. 💕
