RAMBLE WARNING So there's a Christmas fest happening in my area and I feel like my family (dad, stepmom, brother) invite me and I kinda wanna cry about it. For some context I live with my grandparents and then my dad stepmom and brother live near me. The reason I feel like they didn't invite me was because they called my grandma and asked if they were coming but didn't talk to me directly about it so I'm a little offended. Also when I kinda went off on my grandma about it and told her I just want to cry about it she asked if I'm just trying to find an excuse to cry. another reason is because my brain keeps saying that people don't give a sh!t and them doing this doesn't really help their case. and to people who say just call them and ask 2 reasons 1 I fear it's too late and 2 why should I bother. ps recently found out that my antidepressant might not be working like it used too yay

You should be allowed to cry about whatever you want šŸ’• I donā€™t know about your situation but your feelings are valid. Itā€™s hard with depression because sometimes your brain really does lie to you. Perhaps they did just assume they invited you by talking to your grandma, although it wouldā€™ve been much nicer to talk to you directly. Itā€™s up to you whether you want to call or not, but I say donā€™t worry too much about it being too late. I hope you can tell them to talk to you directly and invite you next time šŸ„°

Ramble warning got me haha but I feel ya, I understand why you don't wanna go out of your way and ask them. You want them to care about you enough to check up and see if you really want to go. you want to feel like they want you there and to feel important. I'm the same way trust me and maybe you also will feel bad if you ask them directly or they might say something back that is hurtful. I get you but your situation is stupid tbh they should directly talk to you and not have someone speak for you.
