My heart drops too. I feel like I can feel my heart slide down my stomach. Then my chest feels like it's about to explode. Emotions are very strong and I don't know what it means. I wish I did so I could tell you.
It sounds like a vasovagal reaction. Presyncope (almost fainting) is really common with severe anxiety and conditions like dysautonomia. It is the same process in your body that may cause someone to faint from a trigger like seeing blood
