I really feel like I’m done now. I cant take the pain anymore. Everything is too much. I’m depressed all the time. And if I say I want something stronger for the pain or I wanna die my mom and dad roll their eyes and tell me to suck it up bc their in pain and depressed too. And they think I’m being dramatic. They couldn’t live like I have to for a day if they could switch. They wouldn’t make it. So I feel like I can’t talk to them anymore. I’m on my own

Im sorry you're feeling so much right now. Your feelings are 1000% valid and I want you to know that we all believe you. Chronic conditions are terrifying, crazy, and overwhelming it all gets when everyday feels like a war in your body where you are the underdog. The worst of it is the loneliness that crashes over you when no one can see the chaos and pain you experience every. Freaking. Day. You are so freaking strong for making it this far. You deserve to be understood and loved. I'm sorry the people in your life don't understand your pain but I want you to know that my DMs are always open if ya wanna talk :)

It's would be good to talk to someone impartial like a helpline. They are helpful and understanding. In the UK we have the Samaritans. I don't know which country you're in but you could type helplines to Google, every country has them. All the best x

@RedandBlackFan Hey... I'm sorry to hear about your pain. It is very difficult to "get used to". It's not like getting used to regular stress. It is very easy to get very depressed and negative. When you have constant unrelenting pain, it really does take a toll on your physical and mental health. Having a therapist is great. I have had chronic pain pretty much all of my life, because of diseases and conditions I was born with. I have also had 40 major surgeries. My pain is from neurological and physical conditions. It is very easy to get discouraged, and to feel like no one "gets" what it's like. I think of anyone could understand, it is the people here on the Alike app. Things that I use to help me tolerate chronic pain: Water therapy. I go to a local physical therapy pool, and use their in pool treadmill. It has been amazing for me. I have been able to run on this treadmill up to 7 miles/hr. When I can do basic range of motion and stretching exercises in water, I actually get endorphins that surge through my body, helping with that chronic pain. I would recommend aquatic therapy to anyone and everyone. It has even helped my mental health. What kinds of physicsl therapies have you tried? Fatigue often accompanies chronic pain. Sometimes you just have weakness that you cannot help. I have found that nutrition/watching what I eat and drink contributes a great deal to the energy I have throughout the day and night. Are you working with a dietician? I have not seen a dietician for my nutrition needs, but I am acutely aware of how my body feels when I eat certain things, and also have gotten assistance through disease specific diets, such as the anti-inflammatory diet, the chronic kidney disease diet, and the kinds of foods to avoid for my lung disease. It has made such a difference in my overall health. Having hope is especially difficult when you struggle 24/7 just to endure chronic pain. People say things like "I hope you will soon be pain free, and able to enjoy life". I know they mean well. "Pain Free" is just nor a realistic thing for me, so I sometimes get frustrated with those who say and think that. It's a whole different world for people like us. Adjusting and adapting to MY version of normal is where I have to put my focus.♡♡♡

@NanN physical therapy only hurts me, and they don’t know what to do with me anymore bc they have come to the conclusion they cannot help me anymore. Everytime I have asked them for help they make a new problem that I have to go back for. I’m glad all those things help you tho. I’m bed ridden now from a back surgery I had and wouldn’t be able to do those things. Not to mention insurance.

@RedandBlackFan are you currently seeing a therapist? You could ask your therapist to write to your parents and explain or something?
