Question about alters and trauma

alters all form because of trauma, to try and cope with it, but there are alters who dont have specific trauma or possibly any trauma at all. we have a lot of fictives who formed simply because we found them comforting and relatable. they made us feel better. we have a mood booster, jasper, who doesnt have any trauma because their 'job' is to be happy and make us happy as a whole to deal with our trauma and anxiety and depression -cody

Sometimes alters come into existence just because it makes sense to your brain for them to be there. That’s how we got our twins in our system
