hi, so I'm starting a medicine called lotronex also known as alosetron hcl. I was just wondering what everyone's experiences are with this medicine? did it help you and stop your stomach pain? did you have any side effects?
I was on Lotronex for years and my Gastroenterologist retired, none of the younger doctors in the same practice would provide a script for it, they are required to be certified to prescribe it and the patient is to be given information about possible side effects. The young docs didn’t want to put the time in to be certified and also said they didn’t want the liability. I really liked the relief the med gave me and would still be taking it if I could find a doctor to prescribe it.
