Feeling Useless: Struggling to Find a Job

I feel absolutely useless lately, I havent been able to find a job, qnd I've been putting in applications for weeks and going to interviews and thinking they went really well and were super promising.... only to not hear back at all and moving onto the next interview.... idk what I'm doing wrong, or why I can seem to get a job, but its starting to cause arguments at home bc my bf has to pay for everything rn, and it just makes me feel even more useless.... like there's gotta be something wrong with me, I've been job searching for months now

      job searching is especially hard right now because of the amount of people desperately searching for work during covid. i Promise you shouldn’t take it personally. have you tried applying for unemployment while you search for a job? at least then that should help the money worry between you and your partner, potentially <3

      I would look up all the food banks in your area and go to each of them as often as you can. I also applied for food stamps. The job market is awful right now and employers are not willing to pay folks a rate that keeps up with inflation. You're not alone. I was unemployed for most of the pandemic until recently. There are also other options for side jobs like dog walking through Rover. We always find ways to get by. You're among friends here

        @cypresz unfortunately I quit my last job because they were threatening to not pay me and tried to manually clock me out while I was still working... I got it fixed and left but I should've just let it happen so I'd have proof on paperwork and file a report with dept of labor... but unemployment won't cover me since I left my job
