My worst concussion had obvious and directly related symptoms for 6 or 8 months. However, the concussion Iโ€™m thinking of dented my head which caused permanent nerve damage and bruised my occipital lobe. That concussion also caused me to have Midline Shift Syndrome which is still an ongoing issue years later even though my head and brain has healed. Every time I get bumped on the head in that area, my vision is drastically changed and I need my prism glasses to reset my vision properly.

@BeeeeMe It's been 8 since the first concussion and I can tell you that it has sucked that the symptoms have lasted this long and I'm sorry that it's been a long time for you.

I got my concussion 12 years ago and still struggle with the aftermath. It depends greatly on the person and injury.

It varies wildly based on the person and the concussion. This is a great question for your doctor
