I'm feeling depressed because I feel like I'm a failure even though I have a disability. does anyone relate?

When I was diagnosed with EDS I didn't know how to deal with it, and I even thought my life was over. I stayed at home for a long time and didn't want to do anything. It was a terrible feeling. My family encouraged me to go to a therapist and it helped my mood and approach to deal with my disability.
