Has anyone experienced a pressure that feels sinus related but without any drainage or congestion? A google search says that sinus migraines are a thing and it's probably a migraine if you don't have any mucus with the sinus pressure. it's been consistent for about 2 weeks now; it's pressure from the roof of my mouth through the back if my nose and middle of forehead and towards my temples and the crown of my head. This is completely different from my usual migraines. Anyone else experience this?

Yes I have had that lately I'm trying to make an appointment to see a ear nose and throat doctor I've had it for a couple months they think my migraines might be linked to that now

Sounds like sinus. Altho I find sometimes it’s a tension migraine. Starting from the back of my neck going up the occipital nerve. Hope they’ve gotten better for you!

I've had this so many times and it's so hard to explain to someone. I believe it is sinus related because when I had a nasal feeding tube, I had that kind of migraine almost 24/7

Yes I definitely have that same problem. It all started after contracting covid in 2020 along with burning sensation in sinus and migraine

I get these- for me they’re generally sinus infections causing sinus migraines. Two weeks is where you know it’s an infection not a virus so your PCP may be able to give you an antibiotic if it is indeed a sinus infection. I take sumatriptan for migraine in emergency and it provides a little relief for those but not as much as it does a normal migraine for me
I was also prescribed sumatriptan but I had bad side effects so I had to stop it so now I’m on other meds for it and it’s been a long process of finding the right one.
Thank you @SnowRose! I'm glad to hear from someone who has experienced this too! Sleep has seemed to make it more bearable but as the day goes on it comes back. I've had a bad reaction to sumatriptan in the past but it's been a while so maybe I can try it again. I haven't been able to see my neurologist in almost a year although I have an appointment in February so I can talk to them then. Thanks so much for the info and support!❤️
Yes, I have. I've had several migraines and that sounds like a sinus migraine. Mine follow a path from the sinuses to my temples then to my crown. They also have lasted quite a while. Best thing I was able to do was sleep and humidity (for the dry nose bleeds). I've been prescribed a med called Sumatriptan as needed. Does your doctor know about the migraines and their changes? If not, tell them and be vocal about it. You got this!
