so in 2018 I lost my mom two days before my birthday from an overdose. when her death first happened at first I thought I was getting sick from all the stress I was under. my lymph nodes on my left side were swollen. 6 months later I went to the doctor to find out that I tumor I previously had grown back. however it was much was. the first doctor that did my surgery botched it so badly that when they went back in my 45 minute surgery turned into 4 hours. the tumor had reached the bottom on my jaw bone and wrapped around my vocal cords. the second doctor that did my surgery said it was one of the worst tumors he had ever seem. I had to relearn how to talk at the age of 20 due to having so much nerve damage from the surgery. ever since that surgery people still sometimes can't understand me. I had to go through months of speech therapy. It really messes with my self confidence and makes me depressed when people can't understand me. my speech has improved since. when I first had the surgery no one could understand what I was saying. just recently people began to understand what I was saying. it's really hard on me especially since I work in customer service.

That sounds super rough to be honest. But you know what? I'm proud of you for going through all of it and being here. I can imagine it's hard to deal with people not understanding you, but I hope it'll get better for you!

You've been dealing with so much. I'm so sorry. Grief alone is hell. I lost my brother a little over a year ago, also to drugs, so I know. But you've made it through it all. You should be so proud of how resilient and strong you are. If you ever need someone to talk to, you can message me anytime. You are not alone.
