Hi everyone, apologies in advance for the TMI, My mind is on overdrive and overthinking. So last night when I wiped (after emptying bowels), there was blood. Alot more than I've ever had. I checked the toilet and you could clearly see the red blood in my poo.... so I had thus before. Had a camera up and nothing was spotted. Now this is worse, and I'm overthinking. I have endometriosis, I'm waiting for my 2nd laparoscopy (18 months) is the blood a symptom of endo on the bowel or is it something else. What if they say its nothing. Is it from my operation 3 weeks ago when I had my gallbladder removed. I'm just worrying.

I don't have hemorrhoids, so they've done a fit test. Just waiting for results

If hemeroids are the culprit, water soluble fiber (generic benefiber in this case) has done wonders for me. Piece of high fiber toast wouldn't hurt either.

Fresh red blood on the outside of the poop is most likely to be hemeroids which is nothing to worry about. Can be checked in the gp with a finger inspection then can get some suppositories to heal them. Hope it turns out OK. Sarah is bang on about keeping a food diary and drinking plenty of water

Could you have endometriosis on the OUTSIDE of your intestines they don’t see. I had stage 4 endometriosis all over my intestines & drs blew me off. Now I’m going to end up with an ostomy bag next month bc the ENDO is adhering all over my colon. NOW after all this time of drs blowing me off- the ENDO can NOW be seen inside my colon.

Hey, I'm not a Dr by any means but they've told me red blood is fresh bloody whereas dark blood potentially shows something worse. I'd obviously recommend booking in with your Dr but in terms of your mind on overdrive, the likelihood is that it's due to a cut, internal piles, gastro issues/resistance or endo. Be kind to your mind, blood is always scary but there are so many non scary explanations for it. Keep a food diary and see if it's worse when you eat certain foods and make sure you're well hydrated xx🤗

@SarahK8 thank you, I will phone my Dr's tomorrow. You're right. I've just not seen that much before. My mind just doesn't stop xx

@Titchy oh absolutely it's like our brains are programmed to go straight to worse case scenario. Be kind to yourself and look after yourself 💕

Some individuals with endometriosis have experienced blood in their stool, and it could be caused by endo on the rectum. However, it's essential to consult with your doctor to determine the exact cause and rule out any other potential issues, especially since you recently had gallbladder surgery.
