Struggling with PTSD while caring for my mother-in-law

Nachman it sounds like she may be dealing with a trauma bond in that case to me. It's a shame but people don't always listen to good advice when they are in that mode of operation. I don't know the whole story as I am new here but from what little I do know it sounds like she is being dumped on.

I've been explaining to her kittenintheyarn that Tori has been tasked with a responsibility that she shouldn't be responsible for and it really isn't fair to her and her mental state. Something needs to happen or get Tori out of this situation. By the sounds of it, this woman doesn't want to listen to anyone.. Perhaps she needs to learn a lesson.

You're not alone. Went through something similar with my aunt and uncle recently. I finally stood up for MY needs and I am no longer caregiving for them. Maybe you should consider the same... and if your future spouse isn't supportive of your emotional needs, maybe they shouldn't be your future spouse either.

You aren't alone. I enjoy being alone when I'm cleaning. I like to do my own thing my own way, by myself without people around. I'm just not happy or fulfilled with other people cleaning around me.
