Lamotrigine seems to be the only medication that has helped and I never forget to take it. I’ve had that problem in the past with other meds but this one seems to be working just fine for me

Spironolactone. I had subclinical acne & nothing would make it better/go away until I started this medication

no idea, my parents won't let me get help😍😍
Escitalopram is a god send for me. Can't live without it
I take Seroquel 50 and Prozac 25 gabapentin 100mgs everyday ...
520d
I just smoke 💨 going to a psychiatrist soon tho, definitely need to stop 100% depending on pot.
521d
I'm not sure what it is called but it makes my mind stop running so I can go to sleep.
None for me yet 😥
Klonopin. Everyone in my family knows how amazing it is for me, the effect is unbelievable sometimes. I take it very sparingly to make sure I don't build up tolerance. When I do take it its like I don't have agoraphobia or GAD anymore, I get to feel how everyone else does. It can make me go from shaking violently, weeping, freezing, and terrified for my life to just, normal. Just knowing I have it with me in case I need it soothes me now. I wish I'd had it a long time ago.
my hydroxyzine helps during my panic attacks! it’s incredible honestly, gives me what i’ve always wanted during panic attacks (to fall into a deep sleep where the anxiety can’t get me)
Tylenol pm bro that shit wild 😭😭😭
Aimivog for migraines when nothing else worked and I was having daily migraines also cromolyn
523d
4 Zyrtec and 4 Pepsid per day. Was having anaphylactic reactions multiple times a week, chronic inflammation and swelling, and skin reactions like hives and break outs to literally everything. Food, trees, clothing laundry detergent. My doctor told me the max I can take is 4 of each a day. Have been on it for 7 months now and haven’t had another anaphylactic reaction since. I’ve forgotten to take them a few times and those were the days my inflammation and skin hives came back.
524d
Lithium saved my life. Its super controversial but I was hospitalized for bipolar, suicidal tendancies, mania, and being a danger to others at just 10 years old and my psychiatrist made the looked down upon decision to put a 10 year old on lithium and I'm grateful for that decision every day. Idk where I'd be without it. I've gone down on the dosage over many years but I know it still works for me better than anything else I've taken. I also still see the same psychiatrist today which is a blessing. He knows me better than anybody.
538d
I started ketermine infusions it seems to be helping somehow but it’s $400 each session
539d
Venlafaxine, Lamictal, and Weed
540d
Topamax ❤️
Weed
@BeanBetter I second this!
Mine used to be 5 mg naltrexone. It’s a nervous system anti inflammatory that helped my tmj for a month
541d
Duloxetine!! It's helped my depression 100% I'm able to manage it much better
542d
Nope, they'll only give me the bottom of the barrel garbage big pharma loves to push. I seriously need a new diagnosis and complete overhaul on my treatment plan.
Yes I do
543d
Furosemide for IIH/PTC
Ritalin for ADHD
Adderall for me! Took it for my ADHD and for the first time ever my brain actually felt quiet. I felt in control and it was wonderful
546d
Nope. I'm on so many, narcotic, muscle, nerve, etc. Now the gabapentin did seem to help my wrists a bit. Wanted to go back to doing normal things. With them at least, but wasn't amazing enough for that. Had to get it upped a lot for my back, and a lovely side helped my wrists, and I'm crocheting again. They don't hurt so much but get tired so quickly. My back hasn't been able to be fully helped. My legs... Still go in and out on being able to walk or not. Super weak. Hope you get answers!
Literally nothing works on me. NOTHING.
No wonder dug here
@BeanBetter Weed did save my life though
Seroquel & cymbalta saved my life
556d
Low dose naltrexone
562d
nyquil 💀
Yes hello to my good friend Prozac ✋
@Distressedcat3000 I was on it for five years and it caused such extreme dulling of my pain receptor’s ability to be affected by pain medications that even fentanyl didn’t touch it 😅 I’m glad it’s working for you
Bupropion works wonders for my seasonal depression
Thought cannabis was the cure for my ADHD but I ended up severely addicted and unable to function. Recently tried Kratom, a stimulant, and described the feeling to my hub and he said it sounds like how Adderall works. Never been on stimulants before because doctors don't listen
@CrashStar be careful with Kratom!
@seroquelshawty can you be specific? Not on it myself, just curious.
563d
Modafinil used to, but now it just makes me anxious. It kept me alert and alive for the duration, but now I'm just awake and then anxious.
Marijuana hands down, I'm sitting in hospital with fractured C4 that I broke over a week ago...yeah went camping even next day though I started hurting pretty bad then tried to pop my neck and yeah no that didn't feel good so yeah...here I am...on oxy...i could use a bowl to take the last edge of pain off but whatever...may need surgery...
Topimax used to be!
Dmt did
I take Glycopyrrolate for my hyperhidrosis, and I consider the effects to be a miracle, after spending half my life with always-sweaty feet and hands!
Since last year, it’s been water!💦
568d
Medical Marijuana 💕
569d
Ketamine infusions sent my severe depression and OCD into full remission for two months. Other than that cannabis helps with many things such as appetite. SSRIs have done absolutely nothing for me.
570d
Wellbutrin!! I’ve been on and off it since i was 12 and honestly it’s worked wonders. It’s very risky if you drink or don’t take it consistently but it’s worked so well for me that they put me back on it after taking it inconsistently resulted in a suicide attempt.
Psylocibin mushrooms.
Ha. Is there a wonder drug?!
Odensatron
I did at one point, but the last few years not so much
571d
Nurtec ODT for my emergency migraine meds ✋✋
Delta 8. Works wonders for my pain and anxiety.
572d
Ketamine treatments were amazing for my PTSD.
580d
Does music count? It makes me feel so happy and it takes me out of my daily life for a bit.
Only for medical purposes, such as realllllllly bad back pain. If that counts.
The only medicine that helps my vomiting and suffering is cannabis
Adderall changed my life overnight
Weed shrooms and ketamine
2
583d
Yes! I have struggled for years with blood sugar too high. No one ever mentioned Jardiance. It was like a miracle drug. Suddenly my blood sugars were beautiful. I was a controlled diabetic. I still monitor my blood several times a day, but the sugars aren't the problem now. The Jardiance had to go because it's damaging to your kidneys. I knew very little and then ended up in renal failure. My stay in the hospital helped me completely recognize how precarious life is. Monitor your meds and know what you're taking. I really means your life.
Not a med but cinnamon makes me feel better 110% of the time
Linzess, so far
Cosentyx and cannabis has truly been a life saver!
Yea my anti depressants.
Mirtazapine, did wonders for my sleep schedule
Propanalol
585d
Have you tried going to a pain management doctor? I have been going to one for the last 8 years. He's a Godsend! I take 15 mg of Oxycodone 4 times a day along with 10mg of Methadone twice a day for breakthrough pain.
Acid
Sleep
Methadone, for the AMAZING way it removes the majority of the level 8.5 pain that I suffer with.
Equatro
586d
Weed, 🍄, the works yk
587d
Kratom powder. It’s natural and helps a lot
Abilify
Psilocybin 🍄
591d
THC🤗💕
Lyrica
With how some people have reacted in the past when I’ve talked about the huge difference in reactions I’ve had between CBD and THC, apparently I’m weird that weed pretty much had been a wonder drug for a lot of my mental issues plus any physical pain … because I’ve tried different dosages and methods of absorption and CBD by itself has never done anything so I seem to be purely THC reactive
Cannabis and gabapenton
Lyrica, Ajovy, Lamictal, Prozac, Cymbalta!
594d
Wellbutrin is doing good for me
Cannabis was so calming for so long. I live in a state where it isnt welcomed so was paying too much and my source was imprisoned. It waa so much better than Zoloft and/or any other TD causing drug they tried me on. Now I am back to drinking because of availability, cost and desperation.
@CookieMomster I will try to proof read better next time. But I speak English and Spanish so my phone is never on board in either language.
Alcohol... Then I wonder why I am in handcuffs
I agree. Cannibis gave me my life back. Before, I couldn't function. Constant panic attacks.
597d
Testosterone. It has been so incredible at helping me to feel better in my own skin and has been effectively an antidepressant
All benzos feel like magic to me bc they make it to where I’m able to be productive. But I understand the long term issues so I don’t use them daily. The only other meds I’ve noticed anything from is ketamine lozenges my dr prescribed and I now get from mindbloom, and the nootropic lithium orotate. Oh and subutex.
@Layley try Kratom powder start with low dosage like 1/4 tbs spoon. Goldenmonk.com helps me so much.
601d
No, but methotrexate gave me the ability to use my hands again, so that's nice.
602d
Started Adderall for ADHD after 11+ years of misdiagnosis and what they thought was treatment resistant anxiety and depression. Still getting used to it but oh my god is this what the neurotypical brain feels like ? 😂 My severe/ crippling anxiety and depression is so much
@qhuinnleesi I can relate to everything in this comment lol. 15 years of misdiagnosis and antidepressants and benzos
Used to! Klonopin, till my Dr. Retired!
603d
Thought about using Cannibis
Modafinil, Lamotrigine
604d
Don't really know the names
Any pain meds I take all at once to sleep forever
Unisom for me, it almost makes me feel high and knocks me out for sleep 100% guaranteed even on my most restless nights ❤️
605d
Cannabis definitely, cannabis plants like hemp and marijuana have a ton of other cannabinoids besides THC. some good ones besides CBD is CBC, CBG, and CBN
I used to take Methylphenidate when I was 9 up until the age of 15. I really liked this med. But at 15 I took a overdose one day. Then they would not give it back. (Because it's also a form of a controlled substance)
608d
Breo ellipta is the best preventative inhaler I've ever been on. I took 2x daily advair for years, followed by 4x daily dulera. 1x daily breo works the best for me!
hydroxozine is that for me. i take it for my panic disorder and it also helps with insomnia and stomach problems
609d
When I’m about to have a mental breakdown my mom used to give me cbd products to calm me down. It works vary well.
610d
Lybalvi, weed
Cannabis, either delta 8 THC or weed. It's a miracle plant for me
Cannabis, herbal medicines, Zoloft, topicals with THC and CBD mixed in it and going into nature 🍄
I’ve had the pharmacy drugs but I prefer Mother Earth… I smoke I vape I eat and I use a lotion all containing THC… I’d rather use that then half the meds they have me on.. and I’m on methadone for my drug issues… I Dnt wanna use cuz of the chances of it being laced…
@Tweak_king your medicine? Laced with what?
611d
DMT, I took it once and it was the most blissful and calming experience of my life.
For me, Tramadol. Never had to have an increase.
voltarin for my chronic inflammation is a godsend!!! I also do this tibetan foot bath that’s recommended for mcas and pots and it has genuinely helped me SO MUCH. if you try it I recommend starting slow and seeing what your body can handle because it does use heat. point being, i can’t recommend it enough!!!
@Kishi it makes me sleepy but it helps my anxiety so much that i don't mind
I used to and this medicine(hydroxyzine) would put me to sleep so fast and now that I'm on a whole new medication(gabapentin) I have a hard time falling asleep and I think it's making my stomach hurt so I don't know
612d
The good great green stuff is always great, actually helps combat the nights my epilepsy meds give me that hardcore insomnia and any loss of appetite so I don't otherwise look like I'm giving into my meds from depression which ARE literal depressants they are benzos after all
Meloxicam and separately Voltaren gel
614d
Mirtazapine - it has its drawbacks but as someone with emetophobia and gastritis it’s given me a lot of my life back. I went from waking up every night super nauseous from 1-3am to sleeping soundly through most nights and having an appetite again
Pot
Cannabis and Focalin
I've looked but nope it doesn't work like that. Depends on what issue you are trying to fix. If mental health we are all different and unfortunately it takes time and trial and error
615d
Weed but I'm thinking about trying psychedelics for my anxiety
@AnxietyGirl79 I've been reading a lot about the benefits of micro dosing psilocybin (🍄) for those with PTSD.
I also use a topical lotion from the dispensary. Helps a lot w RA & Fibro Pain
Xanax 1/2 lowest dose there is every morning. Helps w stress & depression for me. When I get overwhelmed I may take the other half but only if I can’t help myself with meditation or Reiki! I use music as well as the singing bowl they definitely calm me too! 🌀🙏🏻💜🎼
616d
Yes Prednisone for Adrenal insufficiency I would be dead without it
617d
Cytomel, t3 is wonder drug, makes my brain feel like its growing and relaxing.
I took cymbalta once and it felt magical… turns out it was just an allergic reaction.
Cannabis 🤷♀️
Yes Mary j
Idk about you but sleep deprivation after a while makes me feel like I'm on a euphoric trip, but sadly the side effect is a short term existential crisis 🥲.
618d
For me that was abilfy, it honestly used to make me feel the way I felt when I did drugs and it scared me so I stopped taking it. It was nice tho 😭
619d
I had to take hydros when I had oral surgery and it lowkey made me hallucinate during the night
Rizatriptan (maxalt) has worked wonders for my migraines!
When my anxiety was at its worst, gabapentin and xanax together worked wonders for me until my daily needs kicked in.
I am a heroin addict and methadone has worked wonders for me. I honestly don’t think I would be sober without it.
Sometimes my benzo is like that. It can change things so fast. Marijuana is like that too.
620d
Sumatriptan 🙏🙏🙏
@KrissKriss never heard of this what's it for?
621d
I sure wish
i take 50mg zoloft, 0.1mg clonidine and 50mg trazodone! contrary to most prescribed with zoloft, it really helps me so so so much <3 i know a lot of people dont like the mental numbness feeling they get while on the medication but i would rather not feel much than feel what i feel unmedicated. as for the clonidine and trazodone, they help tremendously with my insomnia.
622d
Vitamin gummies
Cannabis!!!!👍👍
623d
Also. Vyvanse and Wellbutrin. Wellbutrin helped my depression so much more than any SSRI. Vyvanse helps me function every day at work, which has increased my self esteem and reduced symptoms of depression.
Lamictal treats my bipolar disorder and epilepsy symptoms. I used to self harm and I don’t have any urges anymore.
@Shaken_but_ok im so glad lamictal helps you out!! i was on it for almost a year but it unfortunately didnt do much for me but thats the beauty in humans, different things work for different people :)
I'd say oxycodone..but really, not for the right reasons. So as for anything that has been taken as prescribed or recommended..cannabis is always number one. And for me, Prozac has saved my life over the last year and a half. I wouldn't be here without it
Also Cannabis
Weed is the only medicine I have gotten any results from.
Lamotrigine for bipolar
@Boholife same. Saved my life
624d
i remember when i started taking zoloft for the first time when i was 14-15 and feeling like i could function without crying, that in itself almost made me cry
@cypresz zoloft for the win absolutely
Delta 8 or cannabis for sure
Depakote is my personal miracle. Depakote in combination with Wellbutrin helped save my life and has kept me out of mental wards for four or so years.
625d
I have yet to find anything 😕
👍 cannabis is the best ❤️
Rick Simpson oil, thc and ketamine
Herbs like St John's Wort, Chamomile, Ashwaganda, Scullcap
Klonipin and Xanax
Klonopin is the only thing that can get me to stop freaking out when I'm in a full-blown panic attack.
My zoloft, at least compared to how I feel without it
626d
Weed for sure
cannabis and bentyl are mine
@kiro granted it's recreational but it helps a lot
627d
Zofran has been a lifesaver for me!! Helps with my gastroparesis symptoms which in turn helps keep my ARFID well-managed.
Breath work
I've become much more self confident with fluoxetine! so relieving
Celebrex has really helped my arthritis pain more than anything else!
Oral Chromalin Sodium for my less severe food allergies. I still can't eat, like, a whole tomato without my breathing stopping, but if my food has touched a little bit of tomato juice, I feel 100% fine with chromalin. Without it, id be in debilitating stomach, head, and joint pain, and very swelled up. Unfortunately my doctor won't prescribe it :( she's never heard of it and doesn't want to look into it. She also doesn't believe I have allergies so that doesn't help
Yes Adderall and Cannabis
Cannibis
628d
c a f f e i n e. i n. e x c e s s i v e. a m o u n t s.
I take kratom, it kind of helps release the vise that clamps my brain when I'm feeling down, which is pretty much constant
629d
I have general pain from a car accident I had a few months back
For me cannabis, Sertraline abilify and trazodone are My Go to Serotonin boosters
@Skittlemasterrawr i take sertraline and trazodone!
Uribel.
630d
for me it’s diazepam, if i take it in time that is lol
Cannabis eases my arthritis and fibromyalgia enough to sleep at night, taken in conjunction with valproic acid for migraine suppression and gabapentin for extremity pain/tingling/burning. It takes 2 types of antidepressants a day to drag myself around.
631d
I've been taking seroquel for many years and that's the only one that doesn't have side effects but I'm trying new ones because it's not 100% like all drugs
Armodafinil
Yes! Going on bupropion was like shaking off a heavy layer of depression. Weirdly instant relief. Been on it for 2 years and can’t imagine weaning off. The thought actually terrifies me.
632d
I get super anxious without it.
Journay 🙏
Nothing any doctor has proscribed has done more for me than cannabis and psilocybin.
@In_vino_veritas Amen. I am starting Ketamine treatments next week.
633d
xanax
Hemp extract
Cannabis has helped me so much
Xanax and ketamine but they weren’t prescribed.
Lamictal. No antidepressant boosts my energy and makes me feel normal like Lamictal does. I love it and I'm in the process of starting on it again after a break. I'm hopeful.
Cannabis ❤️
Has anyone had a ketamine treatment?
@Mik16 I don’t have treatment but I do ketamine on my own
635d
All of mine do. Best part is mine are non addictive so I don't have to worry about them as much. They don't do anything that makes me feel "high" but they make me function like a normal person and I miss it. I've been off meds for 6 months now and it sucks
Botox??? How so?
Cannabis ???
636d
Cymbalta was like this for me until I started having terrible side effects
637d
Lamictal. And medical marijuana.
3
638d
Cannabis and abilify
Ozempic...cautiously optimistic...
I've been on Xanax 23 years. I went up to 8mg a day down to 2mg daily over 10 years. Now I'm at 3mg daily but I normally only take 2mg still.
639d
Adderall XR... Though it's only a true wonder drug for the first week I'm on a new dose. Still helpful after, though.
@Reddest For idiopathic hypersomnia and ADHD, btw.
Cannabis
Botox! 🙏
Fdgard for my nausea. Idk why but it fixes stuff up real quick, at least enough for me to eat
Psylocibin/magic mushrooms. Was at the end of my rope years back and it immediately brought me back to reality and made me realize all the good that surrounded me. I revisit it every once in a while with close friends in nature and it keeps me in touch with the positivity around me.
I used to take this anxiety medication for a week and the entire time my mom told me that I looked extremely high and it started to worry her cause I could kind of communicate but in half sentences so for obvious reasons I stopped taking them but my anxiety was not there the entire week. I'd like to also say that I was just recovering from my eating disorders and I wasn't eating much at the time so that could've been it but 10/10 would take again if I was healthy enough for it
Methotrexate. It pushed my disease into remission and elimated the side effects of my medication for Crohn's Disease.
640d
seroquel felt like a wonder drug for a while cause I could finally sleep
🍄
Cannabis and Viibryd.
@misgendry I had terrible side effects from viibryd. I'm glad it worked for you
641d
Morphine. I had a prescription given to me, I do not take it "just cause" I have it set aside for the really bad days but when I take one for pain I find myself in a happier mind set as well. Not only is all the pain my body feels on a daily basis gone so is my anxiety and my demons. I feel alive and like myself... But I only have a limited amount of them and I do not want to become addicted to them so I only use them as a last effort kind of thing. I've tried cannabis as well, it helps with the demons in my head but it doesn't do much for my physical pain oddly enough.
Only one that helps Weed I am just saying
I like Pregabalin
Cannabis. For me it helps me with random ticks I have and helps me be a bit more normal. It gives me my appetite and helps me interact/not seem crazy in public. It slows me down from the million things that happen every second.
adderall, i need to get back on. i need a doctor
adderall, but i need a dr
Wellbutrin
My dr hasn’t put me on any meds and I’m concerned that I should’ve. I have ckd3. Am very tired all the time.
642d
Mirtazpine
Vybriid and rexulti changed my life..
Yes!!! Marijuana is a miracle medicine that God gave us!! It helps so many people Soo very much!! It helps me immensely!! I have horrible anxiety and I have to take meds for that. But Xanax is the only medication that has ever worked for me. My Drs tried everything but Xanax is the only med that works thus keeping my nausea at bay because I get Soo nauseous when I’m nervous!! Hang in here everyone!! I strongly recommend marijuana tho!!
Cannabis and only cannabis. MH medications have never worked for me at all let alone been a miracle
I used to smoke cannabis recreationally and I know it helped for my pain and anxiety. I would love to get an mmj card.
I have a sleep meditation I have to take as needed. It's basically jacked up benadryl. Every time I take it, if I don't fall asleep shortly after it kicks in I'm just I don't know...out of it.
I wonder what you mean by wonder because I know of lots of wonders for specific people but there's no known ultimate panacea, just some stuff with many uses with compatible people.
Weed in the right context, and psychedelics
643d
I'm a cannabis queen
644d
cannabis and adderall!
@lydi88 you and i would get along, lol
vraylar takes away my intense mood swings
I use to take Lexapro but don't take anything for it
Metoprolol I take other meds primarily for things like migraines or BD, so taking a medication I can actually SEE results (seeing my average BPM go down, being able to stand longer) is amazing and feels so great
Gabapentin worked wonders for my nerve pain! Took it about 6 months after spinal fusion then weaned off!
645d
Cannabis. I've been trying to not smoke while I am going back and forth to the doctor. But Cannabis helps with my anxiety. And depression.
646d
Carbamezapine, sertraline and lamictil work great for me
Thc
Adderall was the big one that made me feel like a whole person again... it feels like I've been holding my breath this whole time and now I'm finally breathing. It helps me function more smoothly and I feel more emotions towards people too. THC/Delta 8/similar variants. Nothing needs to be said about this one haha Aripiprazole (Abilify is the brand name) stabilized me- for the most part- and I don't know what I'd do without it.
647d
I take trazodone for sleep, and it works so well!
@AtlasTheMoth me too. Works great! Thank God!!
Zofran due to nausea from all the meds
Eating a clean diet is a wonder drug! Hard to sustain but the difference in how I feel is phenomenal.
648d
My antidepressants 😅
Gabapentin, duloxetine and Buspar are the mix I'm on and it's the best mix yet.
649d
My wonder medication was thyroid supplements
Cannabis helps a lot
Heal-n-soothe has helped me a lot! You can find it on Amazon.
650d
I start my day with a joint as soon as I wake up because most of my medication for my depression doesnt help
I'm on a couple right now. One that was just readjusted to the correct dosage. And the other was one that none of my doctors were willing to try but is available recreationally. They still disagree of it's benefits.
651d
Yes I take the invega injection and I like it alot
Clozapine for mental health was life changing for me
Norco. I felt like a million bucks after my surgery
@TrashPanda1302 of course, it’s an opiate. be careful, i was on norco for years. bad jaun, opiate addiction is slavery
Cannabis is my only relief from chronic pain.
cocaine
Delta 8 😌
652d
The first time i took gabapentin i thought i was high. The relief was other worldly.
@calimomma80 Can you elaborate?
Methotrexate, Humira
I used to take clozapine but now i dont and it was the best antipsychotic ever. But im ok now i have other meds as back up. They working well
Wellbutrin!! when i started taking it, it kickstarted getting out of my years-long depression 🤗
653d
Cymbalta
@BeccaMae Cymbalta helped with pain, but caused other unpleasant side effects. So I weaned off cold turkey, suffered, but finally got it out of my system. Got my medical Marijuana card. Now I use Delta 8 and it brings down anxiety, gives me euphoria, and helps my weak appetite/screwed up stomach.
Psychedelics, but don’t recommend for ppl with schizophrenia and/or dissociation disorder
Bentyl!
All my drugs honestly. I don't think I would be functioning or be alive.
654d
Thc, Rick Simpson oil, ketamine ect. Alternative medicine allows me functional quality of life so def a wonder "drug" but safer than any pill. Also planning on micro shrooms because it's another wonder drug. My personal thoughts:)
Antidepressants should not be looked at as a wonder drug for it does not give you an euphoric feeling ( like perhaps cocaine). Rather, it should make you feel like yourself again. Feeling yourself again after a bout of depression is cause for a temporary euphoric feeling. For the above reason, antidepressants are not necessary addictive like drugs that give you a euphoric experience. If you have a positive affict from an antidepressant, this would be tangible evidence that you suffer from physical depression as opposed to psychological depression. Pristiq and Remeron( often referred to as California Rocket Fuel) works best for me. Check it out!
It’s not long term but when I took just a low dose of prednisone I felt like Wonder Woman!
Nope 🙂
655d
✨Ativan ✨
Prozac for me personally, it is such a relief that I can finally influence my thoughts in any capacity
Cannabis, propranolol, and nortriptyline are the only things I have found to be extremely helpful in managing panic attacks and chronic pain.
Tapering could take years off on a high dose. I’m deciding to get off after 20 years of Xanax and Clonazepam. Clonazepam is the worst to get off of. I’ve had depersonalization, feelings that your ears are constantly underwater. Benzos change who you are. They change your personality and cognitive functioning and memory.
Be careful with benzos. I’ve been on them too long. You technically aren’t suppose to be on them long term. You will get major withdrawals and even protracted withdrawals for months to even years.
Switching to Vyvanse from Adderall (much smoother and less moody, far less of a crashing feeling at the end of the day)
Low Dose Naltrexone - it has been an absolute game changer. Also Ketamine infusions
Geodon! Our psychosis is so much better now
🙏Lamictal
656d
Wellbutrin/Bupropion! Helps with my depression, anxiety, ADHD, and migraines! Absolute amazing! 💕
@BlueStarJewel how long have you been on it? I’m entering week four. And still feeling a bit off. Did it help for anxiety? Do you remember when you actually thought…..oh - it finally kicked in?
@BlueStarJewel I have felt this as well and appreciate the lack of sexual side effects. I just need to find a good alternative for preconception/hopefully pregnancy
Cannabis 💕
Adderall
@Imjollyrancher yes, I just switched to Vyvanse and absolutely LOVE!
Seroquel
Amphetamine salts (Adderall)👌🏼but yes and no on that...wonder drug while on, not the come down or the knowledge of built dependencies and such.
Cannabis and micro dose shrooms every 4 days 💕
I was on Vicodin for the last years today I start morphine the pain is so bad I can't stand it much longer when my mom was still alive suffering with multiple sclerosis she begged me every day to help her die and now that's me
@Quigley please check out Ketamine infusions - it was so helpful for my chronic pain and depression
If it existed It would be life-changing

Adderall. I cried.
My medical marijuana for sure. 💕
Marijuana 💕
THC for when the nausea and anxiety get bad. But if I am dizzy then I avoid it bc I'll fall.
659d
Adderall has completely changed my life in the short time I've had it, I love it dearly
My injectable Testosterone, I've become so much more confident and happy in just one year. Also my Escitalopram
Fioricet for my migraines it has worked so much better than any triptan I’ve tried
@Beetlejuul tell me more
Cannabis all the way, the only thing that helps when I can't swallow my food😊

Definitely cannabis
Mary Jane helps me the most
I know it's not really what's being asked, but I was diagnosed with pretty severe hypothyroidism in November 2021. Where your TSH level is supposed to be varies between doctor to doctor, but it's supposed to be around 0.4-5, according to my doctor. My level was 62. As my doctor was explaining what the symptoms were, I checked off basically every single one. Tiredness, sluggishness, unexplained weight gain, joint and muscle stiffness pain and cramps, muscle weakness in the hips and shoulders, body aches, irregular period, intolerance for cold, constipation, dry skin, dry cracked heels, hoarseness, elevated cholesterol, thinning hair depression, impaired memory, depression, irritability, acne, even vitiligo. I was on heroin and meth for 10 years, so I attributed a lot of my symptoms to the wear and tear I put on my body and getting older. I had 0 energy. Going grocery shopping or even something like washing the dishes took ALL of my energy and I would seriously struggle through every day. But when I was diagnosed and started taking levothyroxine, it was INCREDIBLE the difference I felt. Thinking about how I felt prior compared to how I feel now, it's like I wonder drug for me.
@Steffith I miss read the question. But my answer still applies.
660d
👍but don’t like the head high
All of the meds I take are wonder drugs. If I were not to have one of them it would severely impact my quality of life.
Meloxicam. Helped with so much of the additional pain, & the only NSAID that has ever worked for me. And it's some hardcore opiate or other scheduled drug. Then gastro doc said no more NSAIDs - they're causing ulcers on my throat & stomach lining.😥 Now its back to severe pain days more often.
661d
WEED 😭😭
if only i could have just a little cbd or cannabis to help with the pain.. 💔 rip being in the military
Cannabis and Seroquel
dextromorphan
What is a wonder drug
662d
@DawnP prednisone has such bad side effects. I didn’t know about them until I was diagnosed with AVN or Avascular Necrosis of the bones. My bones are shot because of this drug 😔. I’m handicapped because my bones can break at any moment. I’ve already shattered my ankle and ended up in the hospital for over a month. Just b aware of the side effects. Wish I did!!
Cymbalta has truly been my lifesaver when it comes to depression caused by chronic pain and fighting cancer.
Adhd Concerta
Clonadine.. I'm sleep deprived
cannabis and lexapro
Canibas
Gabapentin and Luvox ❤️
I have taken gabapentin and it was wonderful at first to then got addicted. Go figure.
Zofran 🙏
I'm lucky I got a prescription for 5% Lidocane patches. I use them on my ankles and feet. I have diabetic neurothy, arthritis and neuritis. 😥 painful. The Lidocane patches are great. I don't want to take oral medication because I take so much of it much of it. If you can Treat for the pain locally, then that's the way to go! 👍
663d
Cymbalta, LDN and Ozempic
pot
Yes Gabapentin and Clonazepam
Wellbutrin cured my kleptomania
@OuchiePrincess proud of you for that
Mine are legally dubious depending on where you live but they’ve drastically improved my quality of life: cannabis, magic mushrooms, and ketamine Honorable mentions: injectable migraine meds! (Emgality, Amovig, Ajovy, Botox)
Cannabis and oxybutynin
THC and Adderall
Nope
Mood pills and pro green here! Both have helped me mellow out.
It's definitely cannabis for me. Not just THC but CBD, CBG, hemp extract- ALL OF IT! My body responses really well too it. It gives me energy, removes my pain and clears the fog in my head so I can actually get my homework done. It also just lets me think more clearly so I don't feel so overwhelmed in social or new situations

I take a supplement powder for inflammation I think that's the best thing we can do with these conditions is try to lower the inflammatory response in our bodies.
zoloft changed my life. went from severe ocd to not even qualifying for diagnostic criteria anymore
Does cannabis reall help just curious???
@Evantha yes yes!! It sure does!! I wouldn’t b able to eat without it!!
@Evantha definitely does for me. I used it for my anxiety, depressive lows, and my multiple chronic pain disorders. You have to find the method (concentrates, flower, distillate, RSO, edibles, etc) that works for you, depending on what you need it to help with.
@Evantha it depends what you're looking for and how your body reacts to it. Everyone body chemistry is different so cannabis is fantastic for me, decreases my pain, fatigue and nausea. But my best friend tried it for her depression and chronic pain, it just made her nauseous, uncomfortable and tired. Everyone's different, doing you're interested, I recommend doing research on strains specific to your needs and giving it a careful try 💕
Vyvanse for ADHD was a game-changer for me. It was like everything finally clicked. Prozac was as well, so effective! Best of all the antidepressants I've taken.
Cannabis🙏 it's a life saver sometimes
Suboxone ❤️
666d
Marijuana
Wellbutrin changed my life. 🥰
Amphetamine, unfortunately. Adderall is the only medication that has improved symptoms of every disorder I've been diagnosed with (GAD, SAD ADHD, chronic depression, and BPD medium helpful for this one lmao]]). Of course it's impact is completely short term.
Prozac
@OceanLover yesssss!
Naltrexone used to be my wonder drug. (Low dose for nervous system anti inflammatory.
For a while I got Oxicodin an it did mask the pain well. Although it masked other issues I was developing an then almost was in big trouble an it took 8 weeks to recoup after gallstones, pancreatitis, an the growth of a large abscess in my belly that eventually burst into my colon. 8 weeks with a tube in my belly an pic line in my chest an daily IV antibiotics. Now I use medical marijuana as my miracle wonder drug. 🤗. Good luck 🙏 ❤️
Cannabis..
Wellbutrin for depression and anxiety.
667d
Seroquel. The side effects aren’t great, but it’s the only thing that helps my panic attacks and mania
@river_lily Be careful an keep up with the dentist or you’ll lose all your teeth , faster than you can imagine with Seroquel. Even if your brushing an flossing at home. 🙏
Mushrooms
When I go to the e.d for pain resets it's morphine and ketamine
@DragonZebraHybrid I use the same combo works so great been on opioids for 10 years and ketamine for 3 1/2 and doing a lot better overall with that combo
Weed baby
Invega it has no bad side effects for me it's newer and it helps with...let's just say bad thoughts
668d
has anyone tried therapeutic ketamine?
@Magi yes! I resort to it when I can’t treat my pain flares. It helps completely for 24-48 hours
@OuchiePrincess yes!! i take dxm and im starting ketamine soon
@Magi yes! I have. It's very nice. Laid there for about 30 minutes on an IV. Definitely recommend. It's useful for depression, anxiety, extreme pain, PTSD etc. Was definitely nice. I'm more into psychedelics now. Not that K didn't have a tiny out there affect.
Emgality saved my life, for real. I was having 20-25 migraine days a month until I started taking it. It's been reduced to more like 10 or less days a month.
Lol I wish but weed works great
No I don't!
Yes but it always makes me feel off when I take it and after it wears off
I wish....My best wonder drug is my Zen moments, sitting on my front porch watching my cats run around my yard, birds at the bird feeders, watering my plants and sitting quietly looking over my yard in gratitude for all God's blessings.
Duloxetine, it's worked wonders for mental health.
no, but i wish i was 😔
Keppra and VIMPAT.... Until my next seizure. Rinse and repeat.
Benedryl, fuck using that for allergies, that knocks you out in minutes!
I smoke pot for pain depression panic attacks
669d
Cannabis oil for pain and such and prazosin for nightmares
both cannabis and mushrooms have been amazing for me
Cannabis for sure. 💕
I’ve been on pretty much every SNRI, SSRI, multiple benzos, antipsychotics, pain meds, sleep meds - nothing works. Nothing. My doctor has straight up told me “your sleep issues are beyond my knowledge - which is medicines that exist - no medication is going to make this better” (I had been on ambien daily before this conversation and slept 5 hours that week) and I’ve cycled on antidepressants and prns for anxiety and depression and a bag of other things and nothing helps so we keep trying old ones again but low dose does nothing and tweaking it slightly makes it completely out of control. I’d do anything for a “wonder drug” but I have 0 hope for it
@Sarah24 the only way i can fall asleep is with two blood pressure medications, thorazine, weed, weighted blankets, AC. anything else and im literally up all night even if i didn’t sleep the night before
Still trying to find the right combination
Gabapenton but my dr won't put me on it
My anxiety meds. I lost track of them for two days and during that span of time, it was an absolute hell for me. The world was falling apart at every challenge, I fell back into every bad and eelf-destructive habit I had before my diagnosis. I was a mess and believed my own family hated me for being a burden until I found my meds again and got to take them. I can't believe I went this many years without them...
@Maclir don't u have a lock box or something you keep them in? If it wasn't for my med box I'd lose all mine and my hubby's meds but with it I keep everything organized and I write on the tops what they are so I don't have to pick all the bottles up to see what they are
Doxycycline for lymes
I take birth control without placebo week so I don't really cycle. Between that and SSRIs I survive.
The endorphins I get from exercising
L Methyl Folate
670d
Weed!! It's the best.
My Adderall.
Rizatriptan, I used to just suffer thru the pain and it just melts it away
I do. I take a medication to help with anxiety and panic attacks called Olanzapine. The shorter name is Zyprexa. Whenever I am feeling uptight or starting to get extremely anxious or stressed, I take a dose of Zyprexa (10 mg) and it's like in 15 to 20 minutes, I am like, "What just happened? Was that really me that did that??" It's like nothing happened at all. Zyprexa really does help, even though I refuse to admit it to my parents and / or doctors.
Trazodone for my insomnia 🙌
@angelwithanh that works for me too. Really keeps a person calm and not thinking about a whole lot before sleep, doesn't it?
Cymbalta 💕
It's marijuana for me.
My GI doctor says I can’t have any…
I wouldn’t call it a wonder drug for me but Cymbalta made me feel like a zombie when I was on it. But I suppose at that time being zombified was better than being consumed by paralyzing anxiety. Though it did cause me to sleep through important parts of my life.
Benztropine💕💕
I use cbd/hemp and thc oils & capsules. This works best for me with no side effects other than sleeping better, feeling better & hurting far less. There are still painful times but nothing like it was before I started taking these. I buy mine from a local store an haven't found anything better. So I stay loyal to them as they are loyal to their customers.
@NativeGypsy if you are able to send a picture that would be great 👍🏻 you can find me on messenger Courtney O'Mary
@NativeGypsy what is it called that you take? I'm interested in a cbd capsule or thc oil/tenture to help with my anxiety, depression, sleep, stress and overall health
LSD
@CocoBenis im about to start micro dosing lsd, heard it’s amazing for pain. I currently micro dose shrooms and use cannabis. Both work great but looking to find another option 💕
671d
Ativan and Klonopin
Hyoscamine
Alcohol used to be mine but apparently that's "not healthy" and "self sabotaging" so I've stopped that
Steroids
Prozac, even on a low dose has done wonders for my depression. I also take adderall for my adhd and it feels like a miracle because I can sit through a 2 hour lecture and stay focused the entire time.
🍄’s genuinely cure depression & help treat ptsd
@MajesticMagenta I micro dose shrooms every 4 days right now. Works wonders for pain and also no anixtey or depression while on it 💕. I’ve also had no manic episodes since Ive started micro dosing them.
@RescueMom Is there somewhere to get it legally? I cannot find them
672d
I'm on methadone I take now for pain and it really helps .
Nicotine but not tobacco literally pure nicotine
Me too
Medical marijuana has been a life saver for me!
💕
673d
I had a awesome drug called Clozapine it helped alot and not i dont take it cause of the side effects
CBD
I hear that, certain ones always affected me opposite because of ADHD. I was told by several doctors that's why I was so drawn to them in the first place
I wish!
Hi I’m new to this app. For me, low dose naltrexone and high dose IVC have been the closet to wonder drugs for me!
Oxycodone & Methadone
@Bruce5150 together?
In the state I live in, low doses of THC are legal. so I buy gummies and it seems to help my symptoms better than any prescription I've ever been on.
Cannabis 🙏💕
674d
Lithium!!! It is the first line of treatment for bipolar and is called the "gold standard."
nah
🙏
I sleep better if I smoke pot before bedtime
Yes...pot💕
Pot🍃🍃🍃🍃💨💨💨💨
Deffinatly weed, and if done properly micro dosing shrooms I over did it the last time and it messed me all up
675d
Medical 🍃, Seroquel, lower dose Adderall ER
The ones that are wonderful to me aren't so wonderful to others. Methamphetamine, opiate (heroin), pain pills. None of my prescription medicines work. Well, the ones for mental health don't anyway.
Adderall was amazing when I first started taking it. Also Abilify was great for keeping me stable.
Entestro
Hydroxyzine has been a life changer, using it as an anti anxiety has helped so much with the constant anxiety I have
@Crazy_Cat it's great! And it doesn’take you drowsy at least with my experience
Xyrem has been transformative for Narcolepsy. Did what no other medication was able to do and I'm as close to normal as I'll ever get.
Buspar is my wonder drug
@HowPow I am on 30mg a day of that!
676d
Ganja
Spironolactone, birth control and methocarbamol. I’ve had no negative side effects and almost a complete cure of some of my chronic conditions.
Concentrates , Edibles and Flower. 🍯
I agree it's helped me so much! I used to be full on agoraphobic and cannabis helped me so much I've been able to go places i haven't gone in years. Baby steps but it helps so so much!
@Cassidae me too 🥹 proud of you for getting out of the house!
CBD/ THC is by far the absolute BEST drug I feel you can take for anxiety/depression I VERY much prefer that over any pill 😁
@Tiyanna tell me more about CBD. I am so curious to try it but I don't know how.
@Kimmiepooh I buy my oil on Groupon, either allitom or tikiva. You put some under ur tongue for a minute before swallowing
No I wish
Honestly Zyrtec
@ShaeJack21 I took zyrtec for a really long time but it stopped working for me and switched to clairitin. But for like 20 years it worked for me.
Zyprexa
Mary Jane and booze
Modafinil and assorted vitamins
I've heard a lot of ppl on here talking about kratom can anyone help me understand this a little more
@StrugglinMama I am not really good at wording things. But I'll try. Kratom is a pill you can take. It comes in powder too that you can mix with tea. It supposed to give you an opiate drug like effect. I take it when I don't have anything else. They are mostly sold in gas stations and head shops.
Klonopin! Just knowing I have it handy makes me feel safer.
Cannabis is saving my life/giving me one back!!!!
@VariaMoon I feel the same exact way
I was on a lot of drugs but I took myself off they just weren't helping enough. Cannabis does help but it makes me not eligible for other meds
No drugs, just cannabis
Cannabis. I cried from the amount of relief it's given me. The fact I can feel a seizure aura, but if I vape some mmj, the aura subsides. Pain control and serotonin boost too!
Corlanor. I was nearly passing out everyday with a HR of 160+ due to POTS, now I rarely spike above a HR of 120
677d
✨ weed ✨
Lexapro was amazing but my sex drive died with it.
🙌
Seroquel. Seriously I can function like a relatively normal person now
cannabis is great for anxiety. Use a sativa or sativa leaning hybrid.
Cannabis (for chronic pain) and reyvow (for migraine)
Caplyta, omg
vyvanse most of the time, and weed all of the time.
Lithium & Cannabis
Not meds, but...Ashwaghanda and CBD. Works wonderfully (for me) for anxiety, pain and sleep.
keppra is my wonder drug
Lorazepam. 😬😬
Cannabis is my wonder drug
Korlym
678d
Any know any vitamin combinations that make your mood right
@kevv I would give turmeric, magnesium, vitamin d, fish oils, and a good daily multivitamin a try to start with. I supplement my morning tea w adaptogen mushrooms like lions mane and chaga. I also take cbd oil
Unfortunately the benzodiazepines did, but they are not good for you.
abilify made me actually get out of bed
@AriEden me too. 🙏🏻
I haven’t found the miracle treatment yet but recently started Medical Cannabis. It has helped significantly with the pain and does help me sleep longer and more restfully.
@Krystal I've been using mmj for almost 4 years and holy farts it makes a world of difference.
Cannabis, kratom, buspirone.
@lawrah I find buspirone doesn't do anything for me :(
@lawrah I am on the buspirone and kratom too. I use a kind called trainwreck and another kind I can't spell lol
Ketamine. I had a Ketamine infusion up in Denver. I have never gone a day without feeling anxious or depressed until I did a Ketamine infusion. Amazing drug.
@KrispyKris I read about this recently. Sounds promising. Thanks!
@KrispyKris gimme some
cannabis
I really truly hate to see y'all who want to or are currently taking opiates. I took opiates for 6 years. In the end it stopped working bc my body got used to it and needed more to help my pain. I finally went to a Suboxone clinic to stop the rollercoaster. Suboxone does nothing for my pain. Suboxone does however make me sweat ferociously, cold clammy sweat. Face, hair, neck, chest, arms, everything. I mean sweaty like you're playing in the NFL. Not ladylike at all and it is affecting my life. I want to kick Suboxone to the curb. I take Humira and after 6 months it's cut down my pain a lot. I can't take gabapentin or amytriptylin. Even when I was young and pain free, exercising never produced this kind of sweatiness. My advice is don't start the opiate hell train!! I have also tried every antidepressant there is. My pain is maybe Fibromyalgia (idk if I believe) and psoriatic arthritis. (maybe, hard to diagnose) I've had two major neck surgeries and starting to have sciatica. Ugh...I will stop writing now. Thanks for letting me rant. Please, please don't get addicted. It's hell.
@kamandjamsmom hugs
Exercise weight lifting and cardio my medication. Lawn-mowing. Gardening
I would also suggest cannabis!!
Cannabis and ariprozol when I first started it.
THC ❤️
679d
Trikafta, it is considered a wonderful drug for people who have Cystic Fibrosis because it's the first med that helps almost 99% of our population. And it has had major affects that have improved most of our lives.
I love vraylar! It's helped stabilize my mood. This is the most stable I've felt in my entire life.
I remember a for few days after starting Aimovig, life was absolutely fantastic! It was the first time in years I had absolutely no migraine or discomfort, even while riding in the car. It's helpfulness definitely faded not very long after, but I'll never forget that feeling.
When I first began taking Modafinil end of 2020 I thought I found a wonder drug. It gives me a burst of energy when it is working most days.
❤️no I don't
420
No Wonder drugs..
What tortilla said.
680d
I take a cocktail of wonder drugs! Lol
Celebrex. Since I added it my pain has been drastically reduced. I still hurt a lot but I am able to function now. It works really well in conjunction with Lyrica also
Not yet, not even cannabis helps with my chronic pain
@ChristineB Have you tried RSO oil? I have some loved ones that had a similar issue.
Yes
👍
Adderall until I built up a tolerance and Vraylar for mood swings
Caplyta
@DStover91 stated that yesterday night, i legit slept all day lmao
@DStover91 yessss!!! I just started it 4 days ago, and I felt the effects on day 2. It's been 2 years since I've felt this much clarity.
Aloe Vera for bladder pain!!!
Lithium helps, but it's no wonder drug
@Kt33 yes! Lithium is mighty effective but the side effects are terrible!
Food
As much as I enjoy the calming and head-emptying effects of (state legal) cannabis, I had a real night-and-day difference with starting Escitalopram. I suddenly had all this energy, and didn't dip into random bouts of lethargy. Not to mention the fact that I wasn't have to constantly engage in some sort of pleasures-seeking activity just to get through the day. I enjoy life a lot more with it, and it feels like the little things matter all that much more now.
Anesthetic drugs that my doctor gave me
La Familia edibles; its delicious, helps with all my symptoms, and pains I get randomly. 💕
seroquel was a wonder drug for me for a while, made me feel good about myself and actually got a full night of sleep most nights. not a great long term solution unfortunately
@mitskifan seroquel xr is the only thing that helps with my anxiety. Klonopin doesn't even work! Seroquel helps so much
@mitskifan that is one of two meds I absolutely refuse to ever take again. It made me insanely violent. Never again.
@somebodysomeone I was on 400mg for 6 months. It caused me to gain 50lbs in that span along with serious insulin-resistance, making me pre-diabetic. The crap didn't even work for me.
There are no wonder drugs. Those. Listed above are either addictive or cause dependence. They make big pharma rich.
@Trumpet_Man well of course. We are human, right? Humans need stable health conditions, right? And pharma knows that's exactly why people can't live without them. Any drug is addictive. Whether you are addicted to the feel when it kicks in or the feeling of your health progressing back to normal.
Cannabis & Wellbutrin XR
Lyrica! I can't even tell I am taking it, yet 3 days after I started, 95%of the neuropathy pain in legs disappeared! Aka, pregablin
@Greg1973 I'm currently without my Lyrica and it sucks balls
Prozac and xanax help me feel so much better...takes away alot of pain, depression, anxiety.
@oneofthestars Prozac is amazing! Changed my life for sure
Pcilobyn
@Woodstock419 does it help with pain or just mood?
I'm currently on Wellbutrin, it helps take the edge off and make life slightly more bearable (not completely), but it has made me lactose intolerant.
No not even cannabis
For me, it's part of my PTSD regime with my Zoloft.
Nope 😥
Vitamin K2 + Vitamin D.
Emgality or Ajovy for migraines. Ajovy cut my migraines from 20-25 days month to 2-4 days a month, and I could do WHATEVER I WANTED!! Drink, get dehydrated, stay up late, just like normal human things, and I wouldn't get one most of the time. Emgality is also really good but just a little less effective for me.
My experience with medication has never been positive. I take an adaptogenic herb called bacopa monnieri that feels like a wonder drug.
🌿the plant
Lamotrigine & cannabis but after a while I realized weed wasn’t helping anymore so now it’s shrooms every few months to help stabilize my mood 🤷♀️
@Venni3 How can I get more information on this?
@Venni3 I hear good things about the shrooms can't wait to try them but don't know how to get them
@Venni3 I am so curious to see how the research for bipolar and psilocybin turns out! I've been worried about hypomanic episodes as a result of shrooms so I've never done them. Have you found that to be a problem?
@Kbot I’ve heard that as well, does microdosing shrooms help with pain or only anxiety?
I've never found a wonder drug
I tried a real bad drug that helped my ADHD more than anything ive ever tried, but the physical risks aren't worth the mental benefits it gave. I guess its comparable to adderall? considering trying that because wow nothing has ever made me so focused or motivated.
@pastelfreckle but honestly those physical side effects you mention would affect my mental acuity in the long run (it was messing with my sleep) so it was pretty counterproductive. But yeah in the short term, it worked. They work for all people those, not just those of us with ADHD
@pastelfreckle my experience was very similar
What do yall mean WONDER drug??
Yes I do and it's called Lexapro because with out it stress was going to kill me I have in ICU 3 times in less than 6 weeks from stress
I do and it took me a long time to realize what medication worked for me
No. Most pain meds make me tired and wobbly. Sure the pain is gone or less but now I can't function or exist for the rest of the day.
@Amarantha same. Most drugs make me a zombie mommy.
Yep. Sertraline for my PMDD. Off and on it... Completely different states of being. Being on it is, very frankly, a matter of survival.
@Mirage13 I feel the same way about Lexapro for PMDD but I have to get off of it because it's giving me muscle cramps. May need to try sertraline next.
Celexa. I take it for anxiety, but within 2 weeks I was so calm. I've always thought everyone felt like they were going 100 miles an hour UNTIL I went on Celexa. I honestly think I'm addicted. I can manage that now and I've been on it for 10 years.
@skypilot302 I have a script and haven't started it due to fear of side effects 😅
@skypilot302 I have been on celexa for 12 plus years, it just stopped working 😩.
@skypilot302 Not addicted, but have ADHD
@skypilot302 ADHD-H or C?
From what I gained from playing in my mom’s vending machine, I would say ritalin would have be my wonder drug of choice. Having it inside me makes socializing and getting motivated alot easier. 👍😐👍
I’m now taking Protonix. This medicine is my wonder drug because I spent one year with horrible GI illness until, my Doctor prescribed this. My GI issues are all better now and I am happy. The other medicines I take too are the resin I can still go to work.
@Kaykay15 dr took me off of it because it’s bad for you’re kidneys.
I mainly use cannabis, but depending on the day my Xanax can feel like a wonder drug. But, pot is my main wonder drug depending on the potency
No I just smoke weed
Vicks!❤️
@Elena1277 😆
@Elena1277 lol it's funny you mentioned that. I am addicted to the Vicks Inhaler you stick up your nose.
@Kimmiepooh I used to be addicted to meth or eucalyptus cough drops. This is pretty much the same as the Vicks inhaler addiction
@Kimmiepooh same here!!
Tylenol Extra Strength for Me...My Dr's. are stingy...I would love a wonder drug.
Lyrica, low dose naltrexone and iv hydration
I have before they were to powerful and I got addicted to them
I wish, my doc won't prescribe me anything more than tramadol
@DmewNana tramadol was so awesome back in the day. It kept me happy as a clam. But the stuff I do now makes something like tramadol absolutely worthless anymore.
I know it isn't a drug but cannabis helps me alot.
Nucala. 1000% gave me my life back 🤗
@Brie_91 what is that for
Drinking used to help a lot but now it just makes me more anxious recently
@Oreos Drinking makes my anxiety horrible. It sucks.
@Hemi same!
It's not a wonder drug but it does help to me sleep for sure
I've been using Zoloft recently I'm on 150 mg rn
No, but holy crap, I need to learn about them! I’m 45 and I STILL haven’t found the right drug!!!
I thought percocet was the wonder drug, then I was so jacked up I needed nearly 300 MG of oxycodone just to wake and 150mg every 3-4 hours thereafter.
@Puppydog3647 that’s an awful lot of oxycodone. Most doctors won’t prescribe more than 100 mg a day you must be a lucky puppy dog
CBD and cannabis
11
@Sifu yes same here
@Sifu does CBD work anywhere near as well as cannabis?
@Raquel226 I take D8 and it really helps. It's easy to get since it's legal . I have some edibles and some smokables. Just 2 puffs in the morning of a Sativa strain, helps with energy and pain. And 2 puffs at night of a Indica strain for relaxing and sleep.
@Raquel226 Taking a 1 or 2 gummies can help you relax
Klonopin when I first started it in 2008 totally knocked out my anxiety until I built a tolerance now I’m at 3mg a day just to survive without maxing out.
@Mattman oh Jesus that’s good to read cause I am over here thinking that’s my wonder drug but tbh it is addictive as fffff
@Mattman have you ever had issues trying to decrease or cease klonopin? 3mg is a lot, I was on clonazepam for years on a low dose and suddenly ceased because doctors don’t like to prescribe it anymore and I’ve had the most horrific side effects of ceasing this medication and the doctor just says oh “it will pass” only problem is it won’t stop and most days I feel so anxious I could die……it’s so uncomfortable and I am starting to feel like there’s no end to the pain and anxiety over it. Any information would help thank you 🙏🏻

@Coty I was on Klonopin for 8 years when my Rx got stolen and I had to cold turkey withdrawal. It was the most insane nightmare Ive ever been through. Honestly, the severe withdrawal lasted 3 mos and it took about a year before I felt somewhat normal. I was off of klonopin for 5 years when I ended up getting serotonin syndrome and now Im back on a low dose uhhhg. Things that helped withdrawal are benadryl I swear, that will help alot, lavender tea increases gaba, excersize, tons of excersize/yoga. Vitamin C is also a natural tranquilizer. Or you could ask your doctor for a low dose of seroquel 25mg broke in half. How long were you on klonopin??
@Mattman Klonopin really helps with my anxiety, but I seem to swing back and forth with anxiety or depression being the most problematic

@TVJunkie me tooooo
@Mattman same I plan to take them forever
@Mattman I used to take a lot lot of K-pins and then I cut it out close turkey because it was just too much
Nope. The doctors around here refuse to prescribe anything except for Gabapentin, which does nothing for me. They want me to go to a pain management program, but none will take my case because they said that I need one with a spine stimulation machine, and none around me offer that So I wake up, every single day, just to be in pain. 😥
21
@FreddyFabrix Have you tried chiropractors in your area? They might have spine machines. I haven't tried Gabapentin. Have you tried higher doses on it?
@FreddyFabrix me too
@kriss2u4 did you do the SCS?
@FreddyFabrix docs also want me to get spinal cord stimulator. Please do your research. There is an Australian company called Saluda that has the most sophisticated state-of-the-art stimulator
@FreddyFabrix seriously! What is up with doctors overprescribing gabapentin
@FreddyFabrix get that is it worth it
@FreddyFabrix ask if you can try Baclofen or Pregabalin
@FreddyFabrix I would highly suggest not taking gabapentin it is an under researched over prescribed big pharma drug that cause major health issues after long term use

@Oreos I lost all my teeth from gabapentin, according to my dentist. There's no going back once the gabs start affecting the mouth. Stay off, get off! Also, did you know among the side effects, you'll find several major ones that sound exactly the fibromyalgia symptoms I was taking it to help. Side effects same as fibro symptoms. They had me taking 600 mg/4 X's daily. Now I'm down to 200 mg bid. For some people, weaning off of it can take more than a year because the incremental drops in dosage had to be so little to avoid detox symptoms.
@Oreos never did a thing for my pain or anxiety. On suboxone( has small amt naltraxone in it) and klonopin for anxiety. I also take small amt amphetemine for energy but it can me anxious, as hell Live inFL and they are always 1-2 weeks late with sub & amphetamine. They don't make up for the time that they're out of stock. If you live in FL or conservative state ask for more than you need, so you won't go into withdrawal every month. They bought out all the small pharmacies and are understaffed, stressed out and don't give a darn b/c state doesn't want anyone on controledsubstances. Never had this problem anywhere but here. It could be the area you live in too. If it has religious local gov, they'll make it very hard to get your meds. If you can get your meds from a pharmacy in a more liberal area, it's easier. I lived in GA( religious & conservative) except for Atlanta & Athens( that's where I lived) Had no problem getting sub, on time or 1-2 days, every month
@Oreos agreed
@Oreos gabapentin is for nerve pain, NOT for general, acute or chronic pain.

@Oreos honestly, I don't even take it. I have read terrible things about it and it hasn't helped at all from the first day that I started taking it. They started me on 100mg 3 times a day and increased it to 400mg 3 times a day and still didn't help. I need something that will actually help me. I am tired of suffering and the doctors just don't care.
@Oreos I have been taking 300 mg for years other no major health issues
Cannabis, cannabis topicals ( specifically amend pain cream it’s amazing) I take hydrocodone and diazepam for pain and muscle spasms/anxiety
@GirlyCaptain79 I haven't tried the topical but my friend swears by them.
@GirlyCaptain79 I am on a similar regime except no weed
@GirlyCaptain79 What type or a name brand of cannabis cream do you use?
@GirlyCaptain79 ❤️

@Tortilla Yeah, I get this tincture, 4:1 cbd to thc ratio, from the dispensery. It's great for quieting my mind because there's nothing worse than being physically doped up from your meds so unable to get up and do things but unable to shut your brain off enough to sleep despite being stuck in bed. I've found that the 4:1 mix is subtle but gets the job done so if you're really suffering from insomnia instead of just wanting a legal way to get high, they're amazing. If all you care about is getting high, the 4:1 tincture isn't going to do much for you. But I still call it a wonder drug because I spent a decade trying all kinds of different insomnia remedies and none of them worked. Not Lunesta, not ambien, not melatonin, not scented candles combined with delta wave music or whatever you call that synth stuff that has those frequencies in it that are supposed to help with sleep combined with a loona dreamscape. I do recommend against delta 8 gummies that you can pick up at places like vapor maven etc, for insomnia or anything else for that matter. Before I had my medical card I tried them and I had an incident where I lost the ability to swallow for a few hours. It wasn't affecting my breathing but my mind was panicking over it as badly as if it were. Not a fun experience. I was doped up from my normal meds, and I didn't want to fall asleep till I was sure I wasn't gonna stop breathing, so I was having to pace the house with great difficulty. Probably should have woken my parents but mom works and dad is in constant pain so if he's actually asleep I don't like to ruin it for him because he needs whatever he can get. But anyway, the reason I tried delta 8 is because I knew cannabis helped with the insomnia and delta 8 is a kind of thc, one that's federally legal. But after that incident, I decided I should get my card instead. It's not worth the risk... and even though delta 8 is totally legal, it'll make you pop positive on a drug test anyway or so I've read since then. So it's a bad choice for people with jobs that drug test or who have pain doctors that won't prescribe anymore if you pop positive, even if you aren't particularly worried about the no-swallowing incident.
@Tortilla Yes but it's exspensive
@Tortilla I wish IN would hurry up and legalize it!
@Tortilla yes! For me there hasn’t been a single medication they’ve tried to give me that worked on tears to the shoulder. Surgery or live with the pain was my options… I tried cannabis and wow. I could finally do things a little better not 100% but a little more is better than the nothing before so for me that’s a miracle.
@K.C can you smoke if your 4months out of heart surgery only thing that helps me?
@Tortilla enjoy the lung cancer
@Tetra - @Vidya is right, if you don’t have anything nice to say, just don’t say anything at all… Not only is your comment extremely rude, insensitive & unnecessary, but it is also profoundly misinformed & ignorant. Half of the country would have lung cancer, if pot was likely to cause such illness. Even weed you get “on the street” is far less likely to have even a fraction of the chemicals that are in cigarettes, & medical grade cannabis is infinitely safer than most prescribed drugs on the market today. Granted, smoking any substance is not great for your lungs, but it’s the carcinogenic fillers (over 7000 chemicals & at least 250 are known to be harmful!) in cigs that will kill you. However, this is why a lot of people who use cannabis for medicinal purposes use vaporizers/vapes & edibles, so your comment proves that you know nothing about its usage. Please, educate yourself, & try to refrain from making such negative and ill-informed comments on this app, as this is supposed to be an open & positive platform for people struggling with health issues. This isn’t Facebook!! :/ Your (lack of) reasoning & anti-cannabis bias is antiquated & ignorant. For many people, cannabis is essential to our daily functioning. Doctors have prescribed it to their most critically ill & terminal patients for many years now. Do you think that they would do this if it was so supposedly toxic & dangerous? Their credo (from Hippocratic Oath) is “First, do no harm.” Cannabis is a life-saving essential medication to a lot of people, &, while continued research & study are imperative for any controlled substance, cannabis’ general lack of serious side effects & safety record are far better than any kind of addictive opiate, in my humble opinion. :)
@Tetra whats wrong with you.If you can’t say something nice why say anything at all
@Tortilla agree...or it's the best I have
@Tortilla 👍
@Tortilla cannabis gives me the munchies all the time too much of everything
@Toro - The “munchies” are actually caused by dehydration effects of pot, & our bodies often confuse thirst with hunger, so that is why people get an insatiable desire to eat. I’ve been self-medicating for about 2 & a 1/2 decades, & only gained weight from it when I first started, but, as soon as I found out that this feeling is actually thirst, & not actually true hunger, I started carrying a water bottle with me at all times(Good to do anyway, as most people are chronically dehydrated!!), & this solved the problem! Drink more water. :-)
@Toro I stopped getting the munchies all the time when I figured out more of my allergens that were in the food I ate and changed my diet. Less swelling from allergens in the gut, makes the body not trick the mind into low sugar cravings and hyperglycemic fits.
@Tortilla calms me down 🍃💨
@Tortilla 100% yes
@Tortilla My wonder drug as well
@Tortilla ❤️ 👍
@Tortilla 💯
@Tortilla yes!
@Tortilla weed 😍
@Tortilla yesss
@Tortilla same
@Tortilla that's the one! but if you're in the states be careful who you're buying from they're been putting fentanyl in weed ):
@gracegrace Who told you that? I’ve never heard this
@Tortilla I want to look into this
@Tortilla preach
@Tortilla yep😁
@Tortilla seriously though
@Tortilla couldn't agree more 🤣
@Tortilla 🤗

@BayouQueen65 You are so fortunate to find someone willing to prescribe like that. I can’t find anyone who will. The best I can get is Tramadol, and that does nothing for the pain I have.
@Deb3 same
@BayouQueen65 I cosign how lucky you are to have such an understanding doctor. Wow, if only.
@BayouQueen65 how on earth did you get lucky enough to find a doctor that understanding
@BayouQueen65 wow I wish I had that collection of pain pills
@BayouQueen65 you must have a very understanding pain management doctor. I wish I had the same.
Wishing for a wonder drug but praying for some kind of miracle.

@6xxchick same here.
@6xxchick same 🙏
@6xxchick Same!!
I wish

@cyndi73 lol same here
Haven’t found my “wonder drug” yet..
Heard low dose naltrexone was pretty much the wonder drug for a variety of conditions.. can't seem to get it from any doctors though..
@princessbun really??? I was on it from 1998 til like 2012. I just eventually stopped it myself.
@princessbun I just started it less than 2 weeks ago for ME/CFS. Nothing noticeable yet but they started me very low dose at 0.5mg.
@princessbun it truly has been a wonder drug for me. I know there are doctors out there - please message if I can help in any way
@katehall can I ask what type of doctor you got your prescription from. Doctors don’t seem to want to prescribe pain meds to IC patients even though I have well documented severe pain
@princessbun my pain doctor prescribed it to me. I'm still titrating and only on 1.5 mg so far. Eventually I'll take 3mg daily. Do far- I've not noticed anything good or bad. I'm really hoping to feel a difference in the next few weeks. I'll check back and let you know.
@Melady i do fairly well with 3mg daily for my body aches. Narcs act against your energy system( simplifed) so I take as little as possible. It gives u energy, at first, but it stops and you have o keep increasing the dose which works t keep lowerng your energy. It's a no win, so I take the least amt that I can. Sometimes I ache, but mostly it works. I've been on hard narcs and they destroyed my energy & life, eventually. If we could just stop getting meds to treat our symptoms and find out what meds will treat our condition...it would be a life changer.
@princessbun was put on it for self injury. did not benefit from it at all, really.
@khaniv0re I was on it for a while for self injury but idk how much it helped cuz I was trying so many things to control it but it was covid that stopped all of that by giving me all the time at home to focus on getting healthier emotionally
@princessbun I take naltrexone with wellbutrin together because they act as an appetite suppressant.
@klazikel I take it for the same reason but it also helps my cPTSD symptoms.
@princessbun I was prescribed that for both fibromyalgia (by a pain physician) and MCAS (by a GI who specializes in MCAS). I wouldn’t call it a wonder drug, but it does help
@Lew_Bear how did it help you? What changes did you notice?
@princessbun low dose naltrexone gave me horrible dreams. made my insomnia so much worse. tbh it is hard to get, i got it for my chronic pain. and a lot of doctors really don’t know ab it
@walletonalanyard I take it for my sh and nic addiction, it doesn’t work and it messes with my sleep really bad, I’m glad other people have had the same experience so I can bring it to my therapists attention
@walletonalanyard Don’t they combine naltrexone with buphenorphin (suboxone)
@princessbun that's what I heard too from my sis that has lyme and was lucky enough to get ldn
I take several that feel like a wonder drug
@100Percent_K like?
@Nat123 hey we are on almost all the same meds I wanna chat and see how they work for u vs me
