SAMHAIN I am so sorry I did not mean to spread misinformation I was just saying what my psychiatrist told me. Now that I look into it I see that you are right and once again I am so sorry. Please ignore my previous comment šŸ˜… does anyone know how to delete comments?

      5) Again, I have "Complex-ADHD" as well. This refers to the condition being co-occuring, or "concurrent," with another. My "Severe Combined-type ADHD" along with my Autism Spectrum Disorder, GAD, and PTSD are all confused at your literal projections toward literally "all" participants in this spiralling thread's comment section, vis-Ć -vis: "Can I be any clearer? God. Autistic x adhd people don't have to give you every piece of information just to prevent people from assuming or offering things that aren't relevant. Then y'all think autistic people are rude when we correct you, cuz you can't handle being in the wrong, or you can't handle someone who communicates differently." These statements of yoursā€”aside from using a religious epithet as an "interjection" (which solely instantiates frustration, confusion, or anger as used here)ā€”are definitively "projections" as they are direct expressions of ā˜…your thought process regarding what you have deduced to be what others outside your experience are thinkingā˜… and therefore make your claim that *I* did such objectively "hypocritical," and "willfully-ignorant" should you choose to defend this position. Though, thankfully, I bet you won't, as my experience shutting down narcissistic behaviour is usually met with the only defense the Ego has left: "TL;DR". But I honestly hope you do (read [it]). Later, tater. Please attempt self-reflection and anger management by some means before you go exploding around the threads here with Karen-esque opulence. šŸ§˜šŸ”®

      4) You just stated: "Everything else wasn't specific to what I asked. I provided all the necessary information, I shouldn't have had to make myself clearer," yet the clearly-visible *thread* content which we all began to reply to is one "sentence" which includes absolutely none of said information. Your pointed & explosive reply in its comments following ours provided it. You're objectively wrong and there's literally no way to defend your retort in honest sanity. #nuffSaid.

      3) Vyvanse doesn't "wipe away my appetite," (which is why I brought up my experience re: your "šŸ¤¢" comment) nor did ā˜…Iā˜… ever state that, either. I said it doesn't make me nauseous, even on days when I don't eat. Literally, verbatim: Ā«I don't get sick on it, it doesn't take very much at all for me to be able to take it and get through the day without nausea. ...I've gone days without eating and never felt nauseous.Ā» Nowhere in this does it relate the implied disordered eating to the Vyvanse. Period, full-stop. The disordered eatingā€”for background information which evidently must be made opaque for you to understand a separate statementā€”comes from ARFID, an autistic-associated disordered eating condition of which you should probably know about if you're going to stomp around here implying that you're well-versed in the disorder. You may even suffer from aspects of it yourself, which could relate to your cited G.I. concerns. "Vyvanse is prescribed for bed"ā‰ļø Yeah, I don't think anyone prescribes amphetamine stimulants for bed, so now you've truly lost me. I have no words for this ignorance of concept.

      2) Exercise is not a stimulant medication, obviously, so it is *absolutely* used as a "non-stimulant management tool" for symptoms. I specifically avoided calling it "medication," based on thisā€”where you specifically did so while painting your words as though you were quoting me. This is called "misdirection," or "building a straw man" as already stated. Also: "logical fallacy" as your argument doesn't address the topic at hand. Please, read the prior comments here from outside the shadow of your ego so you may see them in a different light. The suggestion for exercise was not given to slight you, it was meant as a suggestion "thinking outside the box" which did comply with your laser-focused worry about appetite and nausea, as well as even address both in a positive way in regards to your concern since it increases the former and doesn't usually cause the latter. "Thinking outside the box" is something ADHDers are known for doing well; you should have appreciated this.

I'm autistic as well, but you're just being a bunch of asterisks ******* šŸ™ˆ You're far too old to breed this kind of interaction and need this kind of education, suffering a developmental disability or otherwise. Seeing as you clearly have not been set beside your own words and actions before, I'll sacrifice some time in the hopes that you take the lesser time necessary to read it than it took me to write it, and at least twice as long to reflect on its meaningā€”in hopes it will prevent someone with less constitution from experiencing a modicum of anxiety at the behest of your trauma-dumping. For the sake of clarification, in case anyone attempts to actually read your angsty drivel and ends up confusedĀ  here, I'll address your incessant accusations and misdirections individually, since your reply was so all-over-the-place, and then I'll leave your thread for the mods. šŸ™ 1) Casting the behaviour which you were just called out for onto me and then calling it "projection" on my part is, in and of itself, "hypocritical" to start, "manipulative" to continue, and "narcissistic" in the context of boosting your own ego. You should discuss this behaviour with your therapist and prescriber, I consent to use of my quotation in context to aid your mental health journey. Having much unwanted experience with this kind of thing, I already know that if it makes you feel better, you'llĀ  continue building a straw man to start a long, rambling argument without agenda to lash out at people as you have here. That's fine, my ego is not so fragile as to take offense from this. You do you, boo boo. But FYIā€”that kind of childish behaviour is better-suited for Instagram, though, in case you forgot what platform you're on. By signing up and participating here you are willingly communicating in a population of people who all have health problems, and as such you should command yourself with a bit more respect for others.

I'm on Strattera, and it works rather well for me! I was put on it specifically because it was a non-srimulant.

And, just to prove my point further, Vyvanse is prescribed for bed. It's marketed as an adhd medication, and you might have to have both adhd and bed to get on it, but they do prescribe it for that as well as adhd and have done studies where it has worked well.

I was very clear in my question. I didn't invalidate anyone's answers, I simply continued to specify what I had already clearly asked for. Autistic people always get misunderstood and accused of having an agenda. I wasn't been rude or having an rsd reaction or a meltdown. I was and am chilling. Im even smoking a dab rn lmao. This is how I talk in real life? Straight forward and precise. How dismissive of you to accuse me of "invalidating" people's responses, when youre not only projecting your insecurities of your own rsd, bc obviously you felt attacked by that when I never said who was being mean lmao you just automatically knew it was you hm weird.. and playing my post like its an adlibs game by filling in for things i didnt say or do? That's weird behavior. but you did prove my point by continuing to be rude. I cannot make exercise regular because I faint and have seizures, those could kill me, that's not invalidating that's just simply put not what I asked for lmao I do plenty of yoga when I am able to. Just bc you chatted via dm doesn't mean that you weren't or aren't still being rude btw, many people respond to people that were rude to them in hopes of a benefit of the doubt situation. When it comes to adhd meds, there are stimulants and non stimulants, exercise is not included in that. Welbutrin isn't an approved medication for adhd. Vyvanse was a great suggestion, but it included wiping away your appetite which i cant have either bc then i just wont eat, and that won't work for me. I just want to not be nauseous. Everything else wasn't specific to what i asked. I provided all the necessary information, I shouldn't have had to make myself clearer. I said I wanted nonstimulants that don't do have nausea as a common side effect. If there aren't any that's great. But if anyone has experience with any meds that fit that criteria- that's what I'm looking for. Can I be any clearer? God. Autistic x adhd people don't have to give you every piece of information just to prevent people from assuming or offering things that aren't relevant. Then yall think autistic people are rude when we correct you, cause you can't handle being in the wrong, or you can't handle someone who communicates differently. If I was trying to be rude, I'd make another ad libs joke. That was on purpose.

SleepyUwUā€” maybe get some rest? Your response screams RSD. I'm sorry our discussion in your thread triggered something... But, objectivelyā€”Nobody is being mean here? I literally did as you said and corrected them politely, cited my source, followed up with more info to support the idea, and then re-addressed your concern re: nausea (which you completely ignored/invalidated). They apologized, and we even connected in DM. catnapper69 left a great response which isn't even medication, and is probably the top non-stimulant "suggestion-prescription" given by therapists for ADHD symptom management (yes, they can prescribe exercise, or ESAs, or anything they want), and you found a way to invalidate that also, even though your question only asked for "a good alternative," not "a good alternative for you and your particular situation." That's what crowdsourcing ideas is about, you get to filter through it for your subjective experience by yourself. It's not advisable not expected to lash out for that. We could not have known all those things if you did not include them in your thread posting. The end of my previous comment was (I thought-clearly?) meant to imply that I *FORGET* to suggest exercise frequently becauseā€”I have ADHD, derrr (forgetfulness is a symptom of the disorder we're discussing, and which we must have listed in our bio in order to see this post in the first place, so we also all presumably have it). You came here asking for non-stimulant advice but then shot down every possible non-stimulant treatment option, including ones which aren't even medication, so I'm not really sure what you are actually looking for here? Nobody on this app has magic bullets for executing any condition and all of its side effects, without side effects... šŸ¤”šŸ§ā“

@sleepyuwu thatā€™s totally understandable and helpful to know. sorry to not have helpful advice but maybe someone else will ā¤ļø

You guys are being so mean to each other.... it's okay if someone gets information wrong just politely correct them... and.. a few things, I can't take stimulants. I do extraordinally well on non stimulants, i just miss meal times occasionally so i need a way to not vomit all day when i miss one. welbutrin doesn't work for me, most ssris/antidepressants don't, only paxil has bc it works with dopamine not seratonin. I'm really just looking for nonstimulant adhd meds guys.... regular exercise isnt a thing i can pursue either, I'm chronically ill, a fainter and have seizures. I need medication, i cannot live with my adhd without it. Plus disordered eating and executive dysfunction and what not makes exercise not an option for managing my symptoms. I have asthma so I only smoke wax when it comes to cannabis, sativa and indica don't really tell you what the bud does, it's really about the terpenes on the bud. I'm sorry for wasting your time guys, thank you though :/

ā˜ļøOh yes this! šŸ‘ Oxytocin and dope/nore plus helps burn energy and teaches focus. This one's huge why do i always forgetā€”oh šŸ™ˆšŸ˜…

Another alternative Iā€™ve seen folks have success with is being super regimented with exercise? I would be careful as it could become toxic or disordered, but could help some of your symptoms. Personally reducing my sugar intake has helped too, but Iā€™m also on adderall

Everyone is affected by medication differently. Welbutrin works well for some people, but most of your options are going to be stimulants unfortunately

You can't delete here šŸ™„šŸ™„ so dumb. But no worries, I wasn't trying to make you a martyr I just wanted to correct/add 2Ā¢ since the G.I. thing is so key. I may never have found my life-saving medication w/o that detail šŸ™

I don't get sick on it, it doesn't take very much at all for me to be able to take it and get through the day without nausea. Like literally almost nothing, I've gone days without eating and never felt nauseous. But, as usual, Your Meatsack May Vary.

That's why they patented it and charge $211 for 14 doses, and there is no generic until the patent runs out. Literally capitalizing on people with drug abuse history. So, it can be prescribed for other things, definitely not "usually" for ED

    • SAMHAIN

      769d

Ebashz ā€” not true. It was literally developed to be used for people with substance use disorder because it must be processed through the GI (wrapped in Lysine hence: "lisdexamfetamine"), so it cannot be abused by crushing and snorting, etc. All one needs for pre-auth approval is self-report of SUD. Source: my life story.

    • Ebashz

      769d

Iā€™m personally on Vyvanse, but they usually only prescribe it if you also have a binge eating disorder because it makes your appetite vanish

    • Vixly

      769d

Iā€™m on adderall, personally I donā€™t get sick as long as I eat food when I take it but I know some people can get sick off it no matter what.
