0
477d
yes, i take them because my doctor and therapist instructed me to do so. i’m anemic, have chronic fatigue, and live in alaska so i don’t get much vitamin d outside of summer.
479d
Yes because my folate likes to drop 😥
@Keeby [Recovering from a eating disorder]
Yes, because I have an eating disorder.
480d
Protein shake? Does that count? For exercise and it has lots of nutrients
Prenatal vitamins because it's good for hair and nails
Yes, Magnesium for chronic pain and ashwaganda gummies for anxiety.
D2, C, multi gummie, B complex, 💕
Magnesium cuz my mom said so 💀
I take Vitamin D regularly because I live in Chicago 🥶 Iron and B12 because vegan, and Athletic Greens just to fill in any other nutritional gaps I might have

I believe nutrition is best absorbed through whole foods and try to live that way, but let's be realistic, it is the holidays and there are cakes and cookies around. Better to ensure we aren't deficient when it is easy to add a multivitamin.
Yeah, they’re supposed to make winter time easier for my mental health
yes because I'm on the keto diet
Nah I'm probably fine
I take iron supplements prescribed by my doctor as I am severely iron deficient. I take vitamin D as we don't have enough sun here in the UK. I take b12, I am in range but low end. Vit c and omega 3.
I’ve taken supplements like vitamin C and zinc to help with colds and such. I can’t handle zinc as it makes me very nauseated and throw up. I took a vitamin D supplement for a while at the suggestion of my doctor because my vitamin D levels were low. I am going to start vitamin D and vitamin B complex soon at the recommendation of my psychiatrist. I don’t see a problem taking them on your own without doctor supervision if you know what you’re doing. Just be careful about dosing. Some vitamins are water-soluble, so it’s easier for your body to flush them out if you have too much. Fat-soluble vitamins, on the other hand, can build up in your system and are much harder for your body to expel. Taking too much can actually be dangerous.
483d
Yes I take a hair skin and nails vitamin cuz Im a nail biter and have really bad skin and my hair is very damaged and dry I also take an iron supplement for my anemia
i have to take fish oil because my eye doctor said my eyes are always “itchy” because they are dry. the fish oil is supposed to “moistened” them LOL
484d
Yes, because I usually don't eat enough
487d
I take Vitamin C and D3 on a daily basis. I used to take them as pills, but by the beginning of this year, I developed a condition called Globus Sensation due to anxiety and couldn't swallow pills properly, fearing I would choke on them. And when I do take pills, I used to take waaay too much water and choke or spit the water out and swallow the pill dry on accident 😂😭 So, I ended up purchasing these gummy vitamins and they have changed my life! I love them!! The Littles in my system are no longer afraid of taking pills, but they prefer the gummies as they find them safer 🥰
I take prenatal vitamins (im not pregnant or planning to) there's a lot of good benefits to them that I like
I'm very low on iron, b12, folic acid and vitamin C... I've had injections for b12 and I have the vitamins that I need to take daily but I'm really bad at forgetting to take them x
488d
Only iron cus im anemia
489d
I've carefully curated my vitamin regimen to fit my health needs!
I take them as recommend by my doctor.
490d
Melatonin and that's it, I was trying to get high
I have to cos of my gastric sleeve
494d
I have low vitamin D :(
I'm supposed to be because I am prone to anemia but I forget
Vitamin D because I don't often see the sun
495d
Calcium, can't drink milk
@hydroepilepic21 Is it because you are lactose intolerant or because of something else? In any case, I think you should try different types of milk that could settle into your system the best. Like Almond Milk, Lactose Free milk, or other types 🤗
Vitamin D because when they tested my levels I was at a 13...
Vitamin D because I have non in my system without taking it… folic acid as I’m low
504d
I take viteman D been helping alot without this time of year I feel so rough 😞.
507d
A multi vitamin and iron
I took b complex for awhile. My grandma suffered from B12 deficiencies. I havent had those labs done yet but I have some symptoms of it.
mother's making us take vitamin c (i'm fine with it) because we all sure as hell need that rn
508d
I take vitamin d due to a deficiency and prenatal vitamins for the nutritional value due to my gastroparesis.
I take b2 magnesium calcium fish oil and I'm not sure all the reasons. I would like to lose some weight thou, but I don't know where to start.
Ya, im trying to lose weight and it helps my appetite and for my depression and anxiety
I really should. I know I'm not getting nutrients from my diet. I couldn't possibly. I've literally only eaten pbj and toast this past week. I don't even know how I'm still alive.
554d
Vitamin D because I'm deficient. Silica for hair/nails because my hair has been falling out in massive amounts (unsure why). And I've been trying to find a multivitamin that's affordable (I only take vitamins when I can afford them) that also doesn't have B vitamins in it, bc my heart/BP are super sensitive to them
Weight loss and hair skin, and nails
555d
Yes, I take mainly vitamin d and iron. I am anemic and vitamin d deficient. Sometimes I take a multi-vitamin but that’s more sports related then anything else.
556d
Multivitamin, children's dose of iron, and prebiotic+probiotic. They make my body feel good. They even returned my sex drive after years without one. My body is healthy, it's my mind that's sick.
560d
Yes to ensure I get enough of them.
561d
You can start with a good food based multivitamin and minerals. Earth source by solgar is one.
To counteract all the sucky and any negative medication side effects. That's why I take some supplements. Started taking collogen to improve my hair thinning / alopecia
564d
To help with chronic nerve pain
@Thumpz which supplements do you take?
565d
I take vitamins to help my chronic condition and to lessen the malnutrition caused by my eating issues And for my hair, skin, and nails
573d
Gaba, lemon balm, L-Theanine multivitamin for stress/anxiety relief without tranquilizing effects
574d
Multivitamin, flaxseed, probiotics like kimchee, pickles, sauerkraut, yogurt
I'm here I have a lot going on
575d
Yes. I take amino acids to help my stomach absorb nutrients, iron with vitamin c because I have iron deficiency, and vitamin d and b-complex for brain health. They all have worked great 😃👍
Yes. My doctor wanted to check my cholesterol, it was fine… But she told my mom I was Vitamin D deficient
579d
Yes because I have low magnesium. And low iron.
578d
@Morticia013 If you're allowed to, take Vitamin C with iron, it helps it absorb better. My levels have become very stable with that combo. I take those together, and so other minerals don't fight for absorption, I take magnesium and B6 at a different time. My neurologist and primary care doctors told me not to take minerals like calcium, zinc, or magnesium at the same time because they can complete with each other. I accidentally did magnesium and zinc once and my stomach got so upset that I had to throw up. Some people are fine, others are not lol
581d
Yes because I have a lot of deficiencies
I take vitamin D3 B12 and multi-vitamins an keto berries because I'm trying to lose weight
Yes
cause, tasty
582d
Yes because my pills for my autoimmune condition can weaken my bone density and drop vitamin levels in my body.
I take supplements for all my issues it's actually been helping!!!
I just started calcium because I just got on the birth control shot and it causes issues with calcium.
592d
I take metabolism iron and Omega three's and Levathyroxine to regula to e hormones because I have t thyroid cancer
I take Zinc and Vitamin C! I don’t eat a lot because of my IBS so I have to make up for what I don’t eat haha.
593d
Vit C and pacran for chronic UTIs
@Officialishness Also prenatal vitamins (even though I am not pregnant) to get extra vitamins that I don’t get due to an ED Sodium supplements too
594d
Yes I have a bad immune system so I take vitamins for that and energy. I had 4 girls so my body is little tired but it's going and workout is great 😊
Magnesium and NAC for sleep and neuro-toxicity protection from meds.
Yes magnesium helps me sleep
B12 for energy
595d
I would if they weren't so expensive, but I gotta eat.
596d
I take tons of vitamins as a result of a bariatric surgery. 125k Vit A daily, 150k Vit D daily, Calcium 3x a day, Iron 195mg daily, and E-400, and Zinc. In addition to supplements I take for other reasons.
Lots of vitamins, some for supplemental reasons because I struggle with my nutrition and others for things like to help with swelling or pain and muscle cramps
Multi vitamin and vitamin C
597d
B/C complex, Vitamin D 10,000 IU, and multivitamin daily. I was found to be deficient in specifically B & D, and Lyrica tends to drain my vitamin stores, hence the multivitamin.
600d
10000 D3, fish oil, omega complex, biotin 5000, women’s multi. The omega complex really helped with hormonal headaches.
When I can. It’s a long story.
Absolutely, because my Dr's said so. 🤗
601d
I take women's multi vitamins, pro biotics, and collagen
I don't take vitamins, they make me sick to my stomach
Vitamin D and a multivitamin. D because my doctor said I was deficient. Multivitamin because with all the crap floating around you never know if your body needs an extra chance to fight back.
I take vitamin b12 and vitamin d and I take prenatal vitamins for my iron
603d
Vitamin D. I don't know know actually. I told my doctor I wasn't feeling well and she gave em to me. It's might fault tbh because she was talking to my mom and I was chatting with my sis 😅
Yes, I have issues with vitamins so sometimes i take them.
604d
Bottom line: you cannot trust OTC vitamins, esp. gummies. Maybe the expensive kinds, but who knows….
Yes I started taking them because I had vitamin D, vitamin B, and magnesium deficiency. Now that Ive improved my diet I dont have the deficiencies anymore, but I still feel like I have more energy when I take them.
628d
Yes. I take d3, iron, c, vit e and a multi vitamin plus cinnamon
Several I had gastric bypass so my body doesn't absorb vitamins from food well.
639d
multivitamin! 🙋🏾♀️💊 makes me feel good mentally and physically, esp knowing that i’m filling in the nutritional gaps that my diet doesn’t.
640d
Vitamin D for schizophrenia negative symptoms. Magnesium for facial palinopsia.
1 a day women's multivitamin because I don't eat more than one meal or a few snacks a day
651d
Just B12 and Vitamin D, with the B12 in particular to keep it level since I'm vegetarian
652d
I did but gave them up a few months ago.
Be healthy
656d
Yep! Prenatal vitamins every day! Even if I’m not TTC, pregnant or breastfeeding, it’s important that as I’m in my childbearing years I stay on top of nourishing my body before, during and after each child I have! 💛
It might be me placiboing myself but I think it helps with my digestion, mental health, and joint pain.
662d
They r in my Crohn’s shake, so I can actually absorb them. So yes.
663d
I'm on vitamin D because my body sucks at doing it's job (in more ways than one 😅) so I'm on 2000mgs of that daily. Honestly, I already take so many pills for medication anyways, it doesn't make a difference. But as someone who thought they were lactose intolerant (nope, my body just can't digest any food), I have seen a difference, especially with my teeth. I know that's weird, but I overall feel stronger.
i do, but not religiously. i haven't seen much of a difference between regularly having vitamins versus not having them at all. they're supposed to be good for you, so i haven't really found a reason to stop having them. plus gummies taste good.
i'm on a general multivitamin plus another prescribed vitamin d supplement because we vampires love the sun don't we wait did i say vampires i meant introverts
664d
No im already on 15+ medications a day why would i want more pills.
I take multivitamin gummies. I have an ED called ARFID and eating is so hard for me that I could never get the nutrients I need unless I had a multivitamin.
Iron and zinc because I have anemia every thing else I take are prescriptions
I take vitamin D and acidophilus. My therapist recommended them for mental health and digestive health
I take magnesium acetate, d3 and b12 as well as melatonin
Yes, because I’m vitamin deficient
665d
Lutein and magnesium, Lutein for preventing as much vision damage as possible and magnesium to help make migraines less powerful
668d
B6 and D3 because my neurologist told me I should. The meds I’m on cause a B6 deficiency.
I cannot get enough nutrients from the amount of food I can eat due to GI issues. Also been told by my providers to take extra of some vitamins while healing.
I take a solid amount of vitamins and supplements. Vitamin D for a deficiency. Glucosamine/chondroitin/msm/tumeric for joints and bc turmeric is healthy. Omega 3-6-9 for general health and because don't eat a lot of those foods. Liver health supplement for fatty liver disease. Vitamin C for allergies and immune health. Zinc for Hidradenitis Suppurativa. Probiotics for candida overgrowth. Multivitamin for general health. Apple cider vinegar for liver health. Don't know if you wanted that kind of detail. Probs not. But I think taking them is beneficial to me and my health and notice when I'm not taking certain ones.
672d
I take a low dosage of B12 because I was having really bad energy issues and caffeine wasn't doing anything, my pharmacist recommended it and it does seem to help a tad so when my psychiatrist prescribed me Wellbutrin to decrease my fatigue she told me if they're helping to might as well continue because B12 is a good vitamin to have Also the low dose ones are gummies and they taste good
Because I have deficiencies
676d
Vitamin C and D. Both because my pcp said it should help with the depression a little, but also because I'm lactose intolerant. Also helps my immune system function a little better than it does.
I take a few. Fish oil (helps with poor circulation due to raynauds, as well as high cholesterol), one a day women's because honestly I can't pin point it but I feel a ton better with it, and a hair skin and nails multivitamins because if I don't take that my hair comes out in clumps and I'm not trying to be bald.
682d
Haha, my mom makes me take them still. I feel like a kid
D and B my body is no longer holding it in.
703d
Biotin for hair and skin health, L-Lysine for lip bc I get cold sores alot.
732d
my grandmother told me about b-12, looked into it and it surprisingly has a lot of benefits such as helping with depression and stress
741d
Because they told me to it does help though
749d
I used to until I research that medication is nothing but poison and it has too many adverse side effects it fixed one problem just to create another. Aint nobody got time for that yes I do understand that some people can't function without medicine they need medicine alkaline is really good for the body 💯 🙂
I take 50,000 IU's of vitamin D3 with 500 mg of vitamin K2 so that I can remove the calcium from my soft tissues within my body as well as my blood vessels and transfer that calcium over to my bones and teeth were it belongs.
752d

675d
@Wonder_Woman I take pill version B12...it's helping me.
769d
i take B2 and D3 because my bloodwork showed deficiencies for those
770d
I do, I need more iodine because I have thyroid goiters.
771d
Yeah I take a lot of vitamin d, zinc, glucosamine, vitamin b complex (idk why I take that ..). Anyway it seems like vitamins really improved my blood work.
774d
I take calcium because I’m on birth control and have no interest in losing bone density
❤️
yes! i take vitamim D; hair, skin, & nails; vitamin C; & zinc! :)
I take calcium since I guess I'm deficient in that, I forget to take it though 😅

I just got put on 800 Vit E daily for my liver, and 50000 Vit D2 daily for 8 weeks and then 800 D3 daily as well as 1mg Folic acid for 8 weeks because my celiacs has caused malnutrition
3
Yes! I take Vitamin D vitamins. Having low vitamin D is not a fun ride. Please make sure you take Vitamin D and Iron if needed 🤍.
Yep! I take a multi, vitamin d and iron because I have Celiac Disease and don’t absorb stuff properly.
I get vitamin b12 via my central line. I take vitamin d but I’m not absorbing it due to my GI tract being really delayed/partially paralyzed. My b12 can’t be absorbed due to a genetic mutation. All my supplements have to be in powder or iv form. Or even a liquid is fine.
I’m malabsorpant. I need vitamins to live.
Just a multivitamin and my prescribed medication. I have restricted eating patterns so I need the extra support
Iron! I’ve been on and off anemic from iron deficiency for pretty much my whole life. It has a huge effect on my energy level. I also take vitamin d in the winter because ✨seasonal depression✨
i have ARFID. my ability to eat is often severely limited and i have to take vitamins to compensate
B12 because I have read it helps with digestion so good isn't just sitting in my gut fermenting and causing bloating.
I don’t take anything I’m kinda unhealthy
@Sweetnvulgar start taking vitamins
I take vitamin D. It helps with my depression a bit but otherwise I have a really bad deficiency from not being able to get out much with disability
777d
Dr recommended for my condition. Zinc multivitaminas omega b12 D3 and C
793d
Yes Vitamin D3 and Folic Acid for my bones bc I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and my bones are getting bad and a prenatal vitamin bc its better than a regular multi vitamin bc I have two auto immune disorders. These vitamins somewhat help keep me a bit healthier. Tho I do still get sick a lot! ❤️
Most definitely! Multi vitamin, D, B-complex, potassium, and sometimes iron.
808d
I take vitamin D, calcium, zinc, iron, and evening primrose oil
812d
I take love wellness vitamins they don’t bother my sensitive stomach and after taking them for a week I feel amazing
813d
Yes. Magnesium, CoQ10, and Riboflavin, they say it will help with migraine 🤷🏼♀️ I’ll try anything
@KateC they really want me to take more magnesium but it tends to cause diarrhea in the amounts that would be ideal .
@Sugarbear There are a lot of different types of Magnesium the three that have a laxative effect: Citrate Oxide Sulfate So stay away from thoes but the types of Magnesium Supplemental are: Chloride Gluconate Glycinate Taurate L-Threonate Lactate Malate Oronate
@KateC I didn’t know that
826d

Yeah. Vitamin deficiencies ✨ I take iron supplements, vitamin D, and nutrafol
829d
831d

I take vitamins to help me feel better and to get on with my day
I take Vitamin D pills because i’m Vitamin D deficient
5
Yes, to balance my vitamin intake since I'm gluten free
It's a common supplement for vegans because of the lack of dairy, so if you avoid dairy watch out for your D levels
D can affect GI and Depression both in my experience. I came up deficient in blood tests when my GERD flared up unexpectedly and after a month of supplementing 5000mcg it improved.
✋Hi Ian not that sure about vitamins but I take vitamin d because where I live it is to do with last of sun lite and because of me having Bipolar and Depression ok . Why did you speak with your doctor about it OK. Or your gp .
Yea vitamins can disagree with your gi system .. must take them with food
Supplements are good depending if you have a deficiency of that certain vitamin.
No, I’ve tried several times but for some reason any kind I’ve tried always makes me sick 🤔
@Bloomingalchemy60 most vitamins need to be taken with food, if you don't then you'll feel nauseous
Really wish I could convince a doc to script water soluble ADEK . In some ways I’m fortunate I have ibs not ibd b there’s a lot of similar issues
