Bipolar II here with borderline personality as well. Lamotrigine (Lamictal), Aripiprazole (Abilify) and Venlafaxine (Effexor) along with regular therapy are helping keep me pretty stable. Been through the DBT program a few times and it honestly saved my life. I purchased the book, workbook and these decks of cards with skill summaries on them. I refer to them when I'm struggling.

Hey, I was bipolar 2 for a very long time until last year they re diagnosed me with Bipolar 1, due to me having a full blown manic episode. I also have BPD which Iā€™m struggling with more so than my bipolar.

I am Rick. I was diagnosed as bipolar type two, rapid cycling, back in 2001. I went through a lot of different medicationā€™s but now I take Lamictal and Wellview trend and trazodone for sleep. My psychiatrist just increased my Lamictal because over the past four months, Iā€™ve been really cycling quickly.

Several years ago I was diagnosed with type 2 bipolar. I started lamictal after that and it helped tremendously at least for a while.

@lachelle yes that's what I take it for too. I'm also in sulphaselazine. Methotrexate is new for me so I'm just waiting to see if it helps. How have you found it?

@JamoW I have had it for 34 years. Still find it hard but at least my highs aren't as extreme now which was the most destructive thing for me
