Does anyone get so lonely or bored they just start thinking about their past and everything that went wrong? Wishing you could change it? Or thinking about the future and everything that can go wrong? I end up avoiding a lot of things because I think of everything that can go wrong. I lose out on opportunities because of it. Any advice on how I can, in a way, change my way of thinking into something more positive?

I definitely struggle with things like that. I try my best to keep encouraged but it's hard to do on your own sometimes. Support systems are vital in those situations. My inbox is open if you need someone to talk to 🙂

Yes same here! I find that keeping myself busy and taking my medication helps the intrusive/negative thinking to a minimum.

Oh my gosh yes. I would say first thing is that boredom is so dangerous. I always get into a cycle of nostalgia paralysis and totally lose the present. I CLING to a routine. It’s hard to be bored when I know how each day is supposed to go. Don’t be too strict with it. Just be sure to intrigrate things like chores that will give you a dose of dopamine from completing a task. And also, don’t forget to add times in the day where you can do things that brings you joy 💜 good luck! Please update this app with your progress!

What i’ve found that helps me escape these episodes is really working on self trust, bringing yourself into the current moment and if not discovering then making reasons to be confident in your ability to do better/make better decisions. Guilt is awful, but it’s the most clear evidence that you’re recognizing that you can do better, and even when not apparent, shows that you know to do better and will.

@CelestiallMatt for me working on bringing myself up is difficult I've been brought down all my life. So its hard to see what I'm worth. But I will try to stay positive

I would also like to know how to not do that. The thing that helps me is coloring. It's a good enough distraction from whatever I'm thinking about.

@Phoinyxisnotonfire i love to color but always feel like I could of done better. I'm a very creative person. I love drawing and painting as well. I'll try to color when I start thinking like this maybe it will help

@Phoinyxisnotonfire I like coloring but I'm also an overthinker and I make a supposed calming activity a cesspool of stress and anxiety 😅

@RoxieRedfox I do that as well honestly, so I have either music blasting to drown it out or I've got YouTube playing while I'm coloring
