I live with my boyfriend and he works a lot so often I'm left home alone. I have really bad issues with being alone for long periods of time, as I was a very lonely child who didn't have many friends. So now when I'm away from him I get really depressed and anxious. I try my best to see my friends while he is gone but that's not always possible. What ways do y'all cope with the loneliness?

I have the same thing.. I try to take a walk outside and try to keep busy. Sometimes I'll hop on my pc and play games or cook. It helps me focus on what I'm doing so I'm not anxious while waiting for my fiancé to come home

i'm going through this rn too. i'm unemployed and unlisenced whereas my partner has a full time job and a car. my best advice is to learn how public transportation works near you and find new places to go. if that's too much, then taking a walk around your living area is great too. any way you can find to be outdoors/away from screens until your partner comes home should ultimately improve those feelings of loneliness. take yourself on a date sometimes! 💕

I get out of the house. The longer I’m alone at home, the worse it gets. I make myself get ready and get in the car. Even if I just end up driving to McDonald’s to buy a 1 dollar sweet tea.

My pet. Having a furbaby is the most therapeutic thing. It helps to find something you can do as well.
