I'm having back arm and chest pain . I have become a hypochondriac and think there is something wrong with me despite given a clean bill of health at Dr. could these aches and pain be amplified by my anxiety ?

@tiarasmnt have you tried using any tools? Like taking a walk, breathing exercise, meditation and etc?

Hi I actually have had anxiety my whole life. After I had covid twice my anxiety is a million times worse. I was actually diagnosed with Long Covid, dysautonomia, and chronic sinusitis as well. Your physical symptoms very well could be from anxiety but good idea to get checked out as well. Covid really messed me up and it can be extremely frustrating at times. Hang in there and try to do everything you can to alleviate the anxiety and if they could be some form of long Covid the only treatments are really hydrating, diet and some exercise to help. It has been kind of a trial and error for me with what helps ❤️

I guess I should say that I have never had panic attacks until my age now at 37. I have had normal anxiety that was easily able to talk myself down but now all the sudden out of nowhere I am suddenly having major attacks and need help understanding them. I was prescribed xanax and began taking sertraline a week ago . My anxiety is not social but more hypochondriac thinking there is something wrong with me and I'm going to die soon.

@tiarasmnt its been a crazy time for everyone the last couple of years so I’m not surprised that your anxiety is heightened. The pandemic, seeing everyone getting sick is hard for sure . Don’t be hard on yourself for having this issue. The sertraline will helpfully help you . Just be reassured that you are taking the steps you need to stay healthy, you go to you doctors appointments, they have done testing and everything is good . Put your faith in not only your doctors but in your fate that you are deserving of more than this anxiety and you really are going to get through it. Journaling can help . Talking to people for sure .

@Oz_Girl Thank you. I had covid back in Nov and ever since then I have been dealing with the anxiety off and on and has just got worse over the last month. I wonder if it's related? My anxiety is solely that there is something wrong and every ache and pain I feel throws me into this spiral and it's so hard to talk myself down. I joined to hopefully talk to someone that may be expierncing the same as me . Are these aches normal? Is it something that Is anxiety based. I don't want to put my self in medical debt to feel better or nmbecome addicted to xanax to get through my days.

@pinky3 yes. The breathing helps. I used to be a runner but now my anxiety that something is wrong with me prevents me from doing it because I think I'm going to have. A heart attack. I want my old self back.
