tho I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes I suspect I have latent onset type 1. I was thin when diagnosed at 24 and ate pretty healthy. doesn't seem to be lifestyle related my dad was latent onset type 1 so there's a genetic factor. not many docs do more than just put you on metformin which in case of LADA is ill advised. they are not very aware of this anyone else in this boat?
