every time I reach out to my 'friends' or anyone they just seem to push off the subjects and noone actually listens or cares. no one understands how much pain I'm in and over all I have a very high pain tolerance and I feel like death. I need help and the doctors just push me away and send me off saying nothing is wrong.

I really don't do social media... and in sorry I just really don't fully understand and I'm just overly overwhelmed and exhausted even in the thought. I'm trying to find a psychologist right now. I feel like that has to be my priority right now. I feel like I'm falling apart and breaking in every way possible.

There are some Facebook groups or Instagram pages that are focused on specific states. Like a CA based group for chronic migraines… or even your local community group for single moms…. Throw a question out stating you struggle with chronic migraines and ask if anyone else does, or if anyone can recommend a provider specific for your needs that is really good with chronic migraines, chronic conditions, medication resistant migraines or more complex presentations.

I’m glad you went in, even though it is heartbreaking and discouraging when providers act un-empathetic

Oh yes! I 100% empathize! I am also a single Mom of a 6 year old. I was also working full time, until I got Covid, which turned in to long Covid. I haven’t been able to return since! It’s infuriating to feel awful all the time, and then have zero support, and friends and coworkers don’t understand.

I thank you very much for all of your input greatly. I have soo many doctors but they keep leaving me and I just had to replace all of my doctors for a second time. I'm doing my best staying in top of things and made more appointments. I typically have @ least 10 appointments each month. It's tiring. I'm in school. I'm a single mom of a 12yr old I work full time. I have very little time actually to myself

I went by ambulance and got a taxi but they did no actual tests again. I just have to keep admitting myself. It's just soo overly frustrating. And I have posted in the migraine headache feeds but I typically got no responses ever any more here.

@DariaFae in my experience, both as a patient, and in watching Medical Professionals in practice, you as the patient, have to continually advocate for yourself. It’s one of the never ending mental/emotional taxes that we carry as the patient with chronic pain. I wish it were different. There are however, Medical Professionals out there that will listen, and will hear you. They are just not even close to being as plentiful as we all wish they were. It is soooo important to find a primary care doctor that you trust to help you find exactly what works for you, and that will go the extra mile with trial and error to find what works for you. I know this won’t help you feel better today, but have you tried asking for provider recommendations in your local or state forums associated with chronic migraine patients? You may find some recommendations from other sufferers, that can point you towards someone with that extra level of empathy for migraine sufferers. Also, make an appt to see your primary or a new one, and ask for a specific plan for what they want you to do when this happens in the future. Maybe they could change your preventative meds and call in some rescue meds that would only be available in an extreme/crisis situation, such as a 2 week migraine. As for right now, call the ambulance if you feel it is necessary. The hospital can help you find a taxi or some other transport home, once you are safe and cared for! Also, what have you tried for the pain, outside of medications? Maybe we can help brainstorm some ideas that could potentially give you some comfort or at least take the edge off. I am so sorry that you are suffering so much right now.

@Mira.P.Takki And what do you mean by local and state forums?

@Mira.P.Takki i absolutely agree with everything you said but especially about finding a doctor you trust and that will listen to you. i switched to my doctor a couple years ago after dealing with so much bs with others. he actually listens to me! and works with me! it’s a world of difference
