good songs to listen to when you're super depressed and want to unalive yourself because of your parents (long story - and I wish I was being a typical teenager who is angsty.. it would be so much easier if I was)

I listen to dodie Clark's cover of "secret for the mad when I'm suicidal and it calms me down". Cavetown and other dodie songs are really relaxing to me.

When I am feeling down I start playing Self Destructive by Vorsa. Not sure if that's your thing, but you can try it out sometime. Usually I get on YouTube and start with that song and let following songs follow after. I'm sorry stuff is hitting the fan, but it'll get better, one day.

@TrippyDangerousMe neither did I lol. Halestorm, evanescence, breaking Benjamin, mayday parade, and skillet are some of my go to artists if I just want to feel related to

Just stay away from sad, sappy, emo shit. When I'm pissed off I like to listen to old school Limp Bizket, Suicidal Tendencies (I know, terrible name choice) Godsmack, etc. Any kind of angry, f'u music. Pop & techno are good to get you into a dancing mood. Country music helps take you to a place of freedom and letting go (not the sad stuff of course). Brantley Gilbert is a favorite of mine. Certain rap music is good if you want to relate to another's feelings. Not the famous rappers that talk about sex, drugs & hoes. I'm drawing a blank on any names ATM, but there are many on Spotify. They helped my son during several depression episodes. If you're into God, there's several Christian genres depending on what type of music you enjoy the best. But really, all music is good for the soul!

I don't have go to songs, but movies about suicide generally help me get away from those thoughts (ironically) My go to's are "A silent voice" - it's on Netflix, "Cyberbully" - its on Amazon prime "My suicide- director's cut" - it's on Netflix. I also very occasionally will watch " The Virgin suicides" -its on Amazon prime, but that one isn't a helpful for me personally. I really hope this helps🖤🖤
