hello, Ive been dealing with depression for more than a decade and I feel that because I tend to have my depression episodes, I push people away. Does anyone have any advice for growth and dealing with the factor of pushing people away?

I have also had depression for the past decade and do the same thing. Something I try to do is make sure I send one text or message a day. If I feel okay, message back and forth, if I don’t, at least I’ve messaged once. My friends are thankfully incredibly understanding of my mental things going on
