I'm going to slightly disagree about the meds thing. I do agree that you need to put in work and learn how to manage your symptoms, but that can only take you so far sometimes, and there is also nothing wrong with supplementing that work with medications. Talk to your doctor if you are worried about becoming too reliant on them. You can play around with different meds and dosages until you find what works for you.

      Probiotics?

@mistress_Tath probiotics put good bacteria into your gut! This helps fight off infection and help rid your gut of bad bacteria that may be affecting your mental state. If you read about the gut-brain connection you can learn all about it!

I doubt this is an answer you’ll like to hear, but cut down on eating sugar. Start by eating more protein than you do sugar and take probiotics 😁

Don’t get used to meds. Relying on them is so much worse that having ADHD try everything and find tips and tricks to make it better

@Mano_ YES. Seems like a lot of the adhd community doesn’t like us saying it but this is my #1 advice too. PUT IN THE WORK first, meds can help but at a cost and they can’t fix your habits for you. Start exercising, eating well, organizing yourself, setting boundaries, etc. Do those things before ever starting meds and you’ll either get by without them or you’ll do much better on them.
