The Stigma of Depression

I recently found out that although I have been taking meds for anxiety and depression m, it’s really not that they should be treating but the diagnoses that are causing the anxiety and depression. ADHD and OCD cause both BIG TIME. Some doctors just want to put a bandaid over a gushing wound. It’s not fair to you and you deserve better as a patient.

Absolutely.

I mean, most of the time depression is from something that might happen in life, or people who are with an anxiety disorder start feeling depressive symptoms but overall, depression does chemically change your brain, & for a lot of people, will actually decrease brain matter in the frontal cortex. This is why medication works (of course with talk therapy as well). It’s crazy how the brain works & how some people can literally get over it & for some, they can’t.
