I had an episode last night. Disappointed with my life seemingly going nowhere. Banged my head into the thick wooden headboard on my bed, four times. It wasn't a decision -- it happened too fast to think about. My cries were deep and ugly and loud, and I hated myself for that, and for being stuck in this monotonous nothing existence again. It only ended when I was physically exhausted. How do you know if you have a permanent head injury? Like in terms of just signs and symptoms? Thanks.

@seren that sounds rough. I didn't know you could dissociate from an injury. hope you get better.

Dizziness is a big one . I didnt have anything like that but i was thoroughly fucked up by a car and i have been struggling with random lightheadedness a lot . I also noticed just zoning out and not listening to people , like uncontrollably. Not a word .

I’ve also done this before. During an episode, banged my head really hard repeadedly on wooden floor. I got post concussive disorder but I would just look up the symptoms for concussions and look out for those.
@uglyweeds thank you. I guess I didn't get a concussion. it's just like the episode has been sticking around for days low-key.
I do this sometimes too, not sure how to cope or deal with it but it's good to know I'm not alone
