I'm really worried about the state of the world right now and it's triggering my anxiety and depression a lot. I feel like I can't escape the bad news about how the world is quite literally falling apart, and we're really just living in a dystopian novel but with no chance for a happy ending. does anyone have advice on how to deal with or ignore the constant feeling that we're doomed?.. I'm finding it hard to find a reason to look towards the future anymore.. I feel completely stuck. it feels like no matter what I do, there's no chance of things getting better in the world.

I have learned that I am a person who finds comfort in being in control. Unfortunately, the world and illnesses are not things we can control. It can be easy to feel the weight of the world is on my shoulders. I worked with a therapist to help narrow my focus on things that I can control in my life and things that will make me feel happy and fulfilled.

it’s also giving me anxiety. my fiancé got out of the marines a few years ago, and i guess after you get out you are “on call” for 4 more years, so if a war breaks out with the US he has no choice but to go… i’ve been debating if i want kids or not but i would hate to bring them into a world like this right now. i think about that a lot too.
