does anyone else here eat all day long, like bites here and there, until dinner (we calling it eating like a bird) how do you take your thyroid meds when you eat like this? I know we aren't supposed to eat a certain amount of time before and after the meds, and that they are best taken in the morning, so I'm just wondering how to take them when I have to eat throughout the day or I get hangry. TIA......asked my endo 2 years ago with no help.

@Evaleastaristev this is what I do - I wake up just enough to take my thyroid meds and then go back to sleep, and eat when I wake up & take the rest of my meds:)

I somehow always wake up at like 6 or 7 am every morning, take my thyroid medication, and go back to sleep. You can set an alarm so you get in the habit of doing it. If you can't do that, try drinking a lot of water to satiate your hunger in the morning.

Take your meds right when you wake up, or set an alarm for earlier them go back to sleep after. I keep my meds on my night stand for this reason. Wait an hour before eating.

I definitely am a snacker but I wouldn't say all day. Maybe if I didn't have kids and had time to snack more time to snack I would šŸ˜† my endo never mentioned anything about not eating around the time I take my med but she did tell me not to take my vitamins at the same time because the thyroid med won't absorb as well. (Endo prescribed me Saxenda for being overweight and man it worked well with curbing appetite! It's just very expensive!)

@B3B3 I barely have an appetite anyway, I normally take like 3 hours to eat my "lunch", thankfully I work in a position I can do my few bites at a time routine. Oh really?! I never heard to not take my meds at the same time as my vitamins. I'll have to try. I'm hoping to get putting on something for my energy soon so I can start taking care of my weight.

@Amanda1993 be wary of selenium, it really reduces the action of thyrormone supplements

@Amanda1993 there are certain vitamins that you shouldn't take. If you'd like, I can look them up in the morning. I've forgotten them, as I wait until lunch to take my vitamins.
