@Tiyanna I understand this. I have been as well. Even diagnosed with PTSD and looking to see if I also have CPTSD. If you ever need anything or want to talk to someone, my door is open just don't let the dogs out 😂

Yes. It's hard but you can do it. Not everyone is out to hurt you. (I say this to myself daily)

@NonbinarySlytherin okay I'm going to try to and, yes I have issues with trusting people because I've been hurt and used so much in the past. By family, people that said they were my friends, boy friends, and even my husband.

It takes time to do but is it worth it to allow this partner to have a chance to hurt you again. You are important and you deserve better. But ultimately it's your choice. YOU DESERVE TO BE HAPPY TOO.

I’ve never been successful in building back trust at least not if I’ve been bluntly lied to or something. I’d honestly not even entertain the idea unless they sound genuinely upset they broke trust with you and show you (without you forcing them to) they will change and be doing steps to make things better

@Cece7 okay I'm going to see if I see a change

People can change. 100% but it takes something. And someone has to change for you to start trusting them.

It's always been my experience that change doesn't happen without a reason to change. Not idle threats, or promises but through events. Actions have always spoken louder than words.
