I work from home and even on meds I get so distracted. What are some of the ways y'all keep yourself on task?

@bouncyroo11 Also setting a routine for yourself can help

I allow myself to get distracted. They say you should take a mini break every 45 minutes but some times I wait 2 hours and take 15.
Headphones playing brown noise helps quiet my brain, also some dimmed lighting.
Don't leave like reading books that you enjoy around you and make sure there is not a TV nearby you can have access to and unless you are using your phone for work try to put it away or put it in silent
Try having a set space without things like a tv or books. Even then it is still hard to focus. Maybe even outside if you are on a laptop or somewhere like a library could help.

I use natural amino acids that are neurotransmitter precursors. They really really do help and they really do to do work there's a lot of research and study that shows that they do work increased memory increase attention increase focus so look into them the ones he talks about in this article called feed the brain is really good he explains him very well.
Noortropics here is an awesome article. The ones he talks about in here are awesome. https://feedabrain.com/rehabilitation-through-nutrition/

Thank you all! š¤
Honestly, I give myself permission to do a few things at a time. I set a timer for however long (usually 30m or 2 hours at a time). And then I bop from one activity to the other based on when I get distracted. I find I get a LOT more done this way vs trying to force myself to focus and then feeling bad when I inevitably get distracted.

My partner works from home and Iām trying to get on that too- both of us are AuDHD. He thrives on routine, so over the last couple of years since he went remote, heās worked out a routine that helps him get everything done and feel a little more in control of his environment. I like the pomodoro method a lot, it worked for studying when I was in college and works well for when I have to buckle down and do things that take a lot of time. Basically, you break up your time into blocks- every 30 minutes of work, you get a 10 minute break, or whatever configuration works for you. During that break, get up and stretch, take a look through a window as far out as you can see (relax your eyes! V important), get some water, etc. if youāre in the middle of a work block, itās a lot easier to say āI have 10 more minutes, I can do thisā than āI have 5 more hours til I clock out, oh godā
Hi mama.Raspberry I get distracted easily as well even on meds but u can make a to-do list either on ur phone or on paper or planner. I found doing that has been very beneficial to me because I am forgetful
