Abnormal Chest X-Ray Results: Need for CT Scan

I went to urgent care yesterday and they did a chest x-ray . they said that they didn't see anything super worrisome, but the radiologist would look at it today. they called me and the radiologist said there's an abnormality, my lungs are asymmetric and they need to do a CT scan for further diagnosis. they said it's likely nothing but I'm panicking so hard now

      Sadly I understand this. I had a cancer scare on a spine CT and it’s no fun waiting to learn more. What helped me most was talking to my therapist and then keeping busy. Breathing and logic didn’t help at all so I needed to stay distracted. Best of luck, I hope it’s nothing!

      Im so sorry I understand this kind of medical anxiety. I had to get an MRI of my brain and nearly had a panic attack. Then I get a scan and they find a tumor. Fast forward it turned out to be nothing. Hang in there 💕

      I'm so sorry! Medical related anxiety is so difficult to navigate. Weekends and holidays without answers are almost intolerable. I'm glad you reached out here for support. I hope you are able to get some answers tomorrow. As hard as it is, crocheting sounds like a wonderful opportunity to occupy your mind.

        @Belugabear thank you, I'll message my therapist and see if I can get an appointment for this week. maybe I'll try to crochet something new in the mean time.
