Sometimes I have no motivation for anything anymore. Not to mention I hate being alone and feeling like I have no one to talk to. I barley even wanna get out of bed anymore. all I wanna do is lay down in my bed and watch shows or YouTube and stuff. I haven't even had the motivation to do hw for college.

Yeah I feel this; all I do anymore is go to my classes, go home, listen to music for 7 hours, go to sleep, rinse repeat.

When I felt like this I found an intense outpatient program or an inpatient program and as scary as that sounds they both helped me in ways nothing else could. They were the best things I’ve ever done and I would and will do either one again if I have too. Sometimes you just need a little extra help, do not be afraid of it. Being surrounded by people who understand what your going through is absolutely one of the best, most helpful feelings in the world. You can do it!

I feel it. Depression can be made worse by high stress environments like college, and it's fair you feel like crap after a breakup. I'm still a sad sap about my ex. It's fine for you to take a break and nap. That's why people have depression, to make us take breaks. But I would suggest telling your family and friends that you're cooped up and would like them to check on you and talk to you. Having even just a phone call once in a while is really nice. It's okay to be a little selfish about your social needs. I call people all the time and they always let me know if it's a good time or if they're busy, and if they're busy they usually call me back later. As for your life goals and job and stuff, depending on how much your symptoms are getting in the way, please consider going on welfare or getting food stamps, etc. I'd rather you have some help than no help. Keep pursuing your various options and addressing your various needs every time you get a splash of energy. With luck, you'll be ok.
@Doggy thank you so much for everything!
This really is the hardest part of mental health and the sad part is all you can do is wait it out. I think the best thing that helped me is talking it out to people and let them lmk they are there for me. I also tried to find new things I could find interest in since I lost interest in so much. I looked into things I have been excited about for years but never did.
perfectly described my situation rn T^T
@itsnotmefr I'm sorry do you also just end up staying up all night? And not sleeping till the morning when your supposed to be awake?
@Kat_Ivy sadly, yes
felt that but let me ask you, what do you want to do with your life?
@MrMochaBear honestly idk anymore I broke up with my bf of almost two years a couple days ago and he said we are done for good and just like I wanna work from home and stuff but I don't understand how I would do that because I feel like if I have a regular job my anxiety would be way too bad
@Kat_Ivy trust me I know how hard that must have been, but the best thing you can do is keep moving forward towards your goals, but start off small, any amount of progress is still progress 👍
