I completely understand when I first started out I was so lost but now I didn't realize how much things are naturally and made gluten free! Just a little tip that I do that may help I always make a list before I go to a store at what I need and look up and see if they have the gluten free item and even mark where the item is in the store to help me shop. That helps alot! You can still have anything you ate before just gluten free.🤗 That's the way I look at it! Hope you have a great day!

Also there is an app called fig. Probably one of the most helpful apps I've ever downloaded. So many others just get your hopes up and work poorly. It gave me suggestions worth reading or trying from the store. When I felt depressed about food I let it guide me to a few new things at a time, I still wished I had more recipes and foods I liked but fig helped along the way.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I feel the same way. My relationship with food feels so toxic and depressing. I'm gluten free and low dairy and low sugar. Everything good always seems out of reach. I've learned some recipes along the years that I like enough to overlook what I feel I'm missing out on, but when I don't cook at home it feels just exclusive to eat out with menus that just don't accommodate gluten free often enough. Even if you're not that crafty with cooking my fav gluten free from a box is honey Cornbread by krusteaz. I add a little vanilla extract also. It adds a sweetness without sugar.

Retraining your culinary mind takes time. Take it one meal at a time. Oats are a great breakfast gluten replacement for me. You can make them sweet (berries and nuts cinnamon or nutmeg or savory egg or avocado with seasonings as examples.

I'm gluten and tree nut free. It is hard but possible. I found that a keto-ish diet is pretty tasty. I did a lot of raw fruits and veggies.
