hello! i just got this app but have been getting really overwhelmed all week and since it never happened this often i don't know what to do. for example, when im at school or theres too much noise, or even if theres too many things visually going on like my room being messy i feel stuck, freeze up and feel like crying. Does anyone who goes through this more often have any tips?

Thanks for putting words to my madness. What do you do when you have such anxiety by the messes that you just leave because focusing to clean is impossible?

I understand this! I’ve noticed my anxiety gets worse when I’m around mess, they say a cluttered life means a cluttered mind and I’m a firm believer in that. Tidy up and organize your things. Make sure that most of your stuff has a “home”. I’ve got 3 kids so I deal with messes everyday, sometimes I let it slide for weeks until I can muster enough energy and patience to clean, and I think that’s totally fine as long as the mess isn’t hazardous or anything lol. Maybe speak with your teacher about using ear buds to try to tone down the noise in class? My son had to use them so he could focus because he’d get so distracted by others. Best of luck!!
Hey, I relate to this SOOOO much. The number one thing I do when things are overwhelming at home is just straighten up. Even if there is no “mess” , it will make you feel better - I promise. School is a bit more of an issue for me, but I try to just focus on one thing at a time. I know this sounds like the most cliché type of advice, but it does help. I really hope your week gets better!
