They have me on famodidne and omeprazole I still have the bloating flare ups with the burping or need to but cant. they want me to see a gastrologist. Have you seen a gastrologist yet.

I had a surgery called a Nissen fundoplication that was life changing for me. Fixed my GERD immediately. Highly recommend it. I had it at age 35 because I didn’t want to be on pills for reflux the rest of my life and I was already showing esophageal changes from the acid.

@BraeburnGirl how long did it take for you to recover? I’ve been on omeprazole for 10 years and just want a permanent solution 😥

I will always be gasy, if that makes you feel better lol! Maybe try increasing the dosage. Ginger helps and eating less fried food and try avoiding foods that inflame your reflux.

I have terrible reflux too. What’s helped me was eliminating dairy from my diet. I still take omeprazole daily, but I no longer have any ‘break through’ bloat/reflux. Your trigger food might not be dairy, but it can cause a lot of inflammation problems.

Make sure to also remain sitting up or reclined for a few hours after eating. I notice mine gets worse when i dont eat for a while so try small snacks throughout the day. Also i take 40mg of omeprazole twice a day. I dont know how much you take but it might be possible to slightly increase your dose. The ginger mentioned earlier is a good idea too, as it helps me as well. ❤️ i hope you find something that provides you relief

I’ve had issues with vertigo which gave me nausea, a bit different than acid reflux, but in settling the stomach it may be helpful to add ginger to your diet, it helps me a lot. Also, there is a tablet, Ondansetron that helps when all of the natural remedies are not helping. Also here is an article that suggests prebiotics that can help, listing Aloe Vera and other suggestions; https://www.goodrx.com/conditions/heartburn/probiotics-acid-reflux

@JXARabbit my insurance only approves 9 ondanestran a month due to symptoms from migraines between the migraines and gerd nausea I run out within 2 weeks

I alternate taking omeprazole one day and lansoprazole the next day

I’ve added Pepcid, which has helped in addition to the omeprazole.
