        @kina Lamictal or lamotrogine is prescribed to help with bipolar depression and is not indicated for mania. The rash everyone is afraid of is called Steven Johnsons Syndrome and it is very rare. It is an autoimmune condition that resolves when the medication that caused is withdrawn.

      I did well on it for a while and then broke out into a rash, so my doc told me to stop taking it out of an abundance of caution. Be mindful of any skin changes would be my best advice and call them IMMEDIATELY if you get a rash. Otherwise, it's a good drug imo. Sending love.

        @Magpie42 yeah he told me to watch for a rash other wise he said there really wasn't any side effects thanks oh was it a bad rash

      I hope it helps. Just pay attention to your mood and how your body might react to the new drug. Lamictal caused me to throw up most days that I took it, so I wasn't able to continue using it. Every one reacts to new meds in their own way and this might be just what you need. Best wishes on your medication journey.😁
