Anyone else with insane fibro pain right now? I have a constant feeling of an electrical current running head to toe with every pressure point screaming with pain. I'm quickly entering my 'angry pain' (pain that never ceases and makes you cranky) state and I can't seem to pinpoint a trigger.

yes! my body feels like one big bruise rn. even something as simple as wearing clothes hurts bc my skin gets so sensitive when I flare up
Same i definitely associated it with the weather, this time around i was paying more attention bc of my new job.

I found that eating foods high in capsaicin, like chili peppers, can help. If you can stand the heat, they can shorten the flares.
✋ yes 😥 one thing that did help me with the all over pain was cutting out sugar. It's shocking how much sugar we consume unknowingly. Almost anything out of a box or bag has sugar. Now if I eat even a few grams of sugar (i.e. a couple pieces of bread), I'm sore all over for 3-5 days.

@Butterflygoddess sugar and carbs are my main diet. 🤦♀️
@Butterflygoddess oh no!!! I have a huge sweet tooth like all the time! It’s gonna be so hard to adjust.
@Mandipanda I did too. I wasn't allowed to eat sugar as a child so I love it! There's a great sugar replacement called Monkfruit sweetener, it tastes just like sugar. That's what I use now. You can make whatever you want with it, just like sugar. I don't suggest going cold turkey. I did it and it SUCKED for about 5 days. But after the 5th day I felt so much better. Before I cut sugar I couldn't even walk up the stairs without dragging myself on the rail and moaning and groaning. Gluten and red meat are another common irritant. But for me, it's cane sugar and high fructose corn syrup.
Was literally going thru this over the weekend. I haven’t exactly been 100% diagnosed yet but I’m more than 80% positive I also have fibromyalgia. Dr just put me on savella. Seems to be helping a little bit. But I just started taking it. On day three. When I was having an “angry pain” spell as you call it, I was completely overwhelmed and miserable. I cried and cried. Nothing seemed to help and I was at my Wits end. So I totally understand.
@Mandipanda I haven't heard of Savella. I'll have to look into it. Do you know if weight gain is a main side effect? I have a history of bulimia and unfortunately, medicine that causes weight gain is a trigger.
@PineappleSunshine I’m not entirely sure. But that’s completely understandable! I also have triggers to things so I completely understand!!
Pain so bad it's causing nausea and headache. Even my hair hurts. No explanation for flare ups, just get through them.
Yep, I wish I knew why.
Does anybody have the Deep pain up by their abdominal area where the gallbladder is at running to the back? Also been having stomach issues I know I have acid reflux but I also know that fibromyalgia can possibly mess with that stuff I didn't know if anybody else can relate I have had my gallbladder checked and they said it's fine so I didn't know if it was fibromyalgia?

@Vakara I was hospitalized for 4 days for pain like that a few years ago. Did a bunch of tests thinking it was my gallbladder. The pain was intense. Few weeks later had gallbladder removed but still have the pain off and on. Dr now checking me for MS. Said could be what’s called MS hug
@Vakara yeah fibro affects your nervous system, and that can include your vagus nerve. So when you're stressed anxious, or having a fibro flare up, you may also have a very sensitive stomach and get cramping. But it is good to get it checked out to be safe, you don't want to ignore things like that.
😥
Already been there for two days straight... working on number 3. Lots of sympathy for you. Remember that it will get better.
I have it two to three times a week with the fiber plant pain I know I understand what you going through

@RoseJay I have had fibromyalgia for a while but still trying to understand it what is the fiber plant pain?
Oof, I had that last week. It was some of the worst nerve pain I'd had in a while! It only lasted a few days for me, so hopefully yours lets up soon! I believe it was the weather changes that triggered mine.

@Kinter I also believe it was the weather change. I think it also might have to do with the atmosphere pressure. Not sure if when it drops or if it rises which makes the pain worse.
@Mandipanda for me, it's both a rise and an increase. I also struggle on extremely windy days.
