(repost) hi, I could use some tips if anybody has the same condition or has knowledge on this. I have had a colostomy bag since I was a toddler and for the past few years I've been experiencing bleeds, sores, and irritation. I've tried stoma powder, which didn't work, dry skin stuff and recently gauze on the bleed. the bleeds and sores are near the stoma itself and the irritated is over the general area where the wafer goes. the gauze was great for the current bleed but what ended up happening is causing more irritation in the sense it was itchy and I think bumpy. the bleed also ended up moving. I have no idea what I can do and I'm too nervous to bring up to a doctor because I'm afraid that they'll get mad I mentioned this so late. I just kept brushing it off and didn't really process the amount of irritation isn't normal and it got worse fast. I want to see if I can get rid of it on my own before I see a doctor as well (if it gets bad enough) because I'll have to change my wafer there and I need a mirror so I can see what I'm doing. because of paranoia about my stoma. anyways, if anybody has advice, tips or recommendations, please, please let me know.

Go to the dr. They are not allowed to be mad
