I have decided to stop taking mood stabilizers because the negative side effects outweigh the positives. My diagnoses is bipolar one with MDD and GAD, i smoke weed to help with lots of symptoms as well. I'm on an antidepressant for the depression since I get way more of that than my hypomania

I know a lot of people who prefer the natural remedy of weed. If it helps mitigate the problems and you don’t get paranoid then there should be nothing wrong with it. Having talk therapy on the side will also help with more coping skills.
Bipolar disorder usually needs meds. If you’re ok with that, that’s fine, but if you start getting significant symptoms, see a psych and consider meds. Does not mean you have to quit smoking weed just still make sure you’re working with a doctor if symptoms start acting up because it gets bad fast
