I'm worried I was misdiagnosed. Has anyone else had this happen after 2 unconscious events?

Yes this happened to me for years. I got sent to three different specialists: a GI doctor, heart doctor, and finally a neurologist. For YEARS I was told it’s just anxiety until I finally got diagnosed with seizures but even the doctor thinks that there may be something else going on and I’m just so exhausted with it :( unfortunately the only thing you can really do is just keep trying, I know how frustrating it is but you can always text me if you need a boost :)

And my short term memory is so sketchy. I sometimes forget how to make even simple recipes that I've made for years. Just frustrating 😑

I finally have an appointment with an Epilogist (sp?) in July and hoping I get clearer picture. But yes I've always had "fainting" spells but they also said it was dehydration or my sugar dropped (hypoglycemia) but never tested for low blood sugar. Thank you for answering me back and giving me support to find another specialist. I just feel alone in this journey not knowing what to expect. I also can't drive due to this and off of work until I get clearance from Dr.

@Nana27 We can talk anytime! I went years feeling that way. I finally found a dr that would listen to me. I still wonder if he believes me lol but he is treating me and doesn’t make me feel crazy when everyone else did. It’s terrible feeling having those symptoms and no one helps you. For sure heat, stress, lack of sleep, too much caffeine are triggers for me.

I had an episode a year ago where I fell out on the floor, throwing up and unconscious, my body was stiff..went to ER and they said it was a conversion attack so nothing was done. This past January had same thing happen but lost bladder control along with this..went to ER and they did MRI, CT. Found I had suffered an ischemia stroke at some point which left scaring on left temporal lobe..went to Neuro and he said automatically I have Epilepsy, was given Keppra sent home(had to stop due to rage). Had 3 EEGs and they came back fine. Have recently started having I guess non epileptic seizures and put on zoloft along with Gabapentin. Which all of this happened so fast my brain is still in a swirl..could I have been misdiagnosed and im just having Anxiety attacks???

@Nana27 I had something similar for quite a few years that kept happening to me several times a year. I would go to the ER and Doctors with the diagnosis of dehydration or simply passing out. I had failed 2 EEGs with 2 normal MRIs and a CT scan. After having covid in 2020 the ‘spells’ became almost daily. My employer told me I had to have a doctor release me to come back to work and I’m still at home 🥹. I failed my last EEG and my last MRI showed some scarring on my left temporal lobe. I am currently on 2 seizure meds and continue having problems almost daily that prevent me from thinking clearly, driving, and working. I would suggest you find a doctor the specializes in epilepsy. Also I have heard that Keppra is known for causing rage in some people as a side effect. I know it’s not easy but sometimes to finding the right doctor is the best thing for you. One that will listen to you as well as explain everything to you as you try to figure this out.
