How to Set Boundaries in a Relationship?

it might be a difficult conversion, but sometimes you just have to set the boundary that you don't want to talk about some personal things. in my own relationship, it took a hard conversion for me to grasp how difficult and traumatic certain kinds of conversations were for my partner. talking about things that i hadn't known about at all - and once i could understand, i could respect that boundary.

idk how long you guys have been together or how much you guys know each other but it sort of sounds like he doesn't understand boundaries :/ you don't have to talk about personal things to anyone until you feel comfortable enough to do so. maybe he's worried about you or something or wants reassurance but I could be wrong. good luck though

You should never be afraid to set boundaries with your partner! If that’s something he’d honestly get upset about, it’s time to reconsider the relationship..
