Weight gain on escitalopram or nexplanon?

Has anyone else experienced weight gain with escitalopram (lexapro) or nexplanon (the birth control implant in your arm)? I'm considering switching one of them because the weight gain over the past three years has been so bad. Any advice?

      Yes lexapro makes a lot of people gain weight, I was on it as opposed to something else specifically because I was underweight and it worked

          @bretange I stopped taking it once I was at a healthy weight yeah, my psych is terrible lol so I'm still waiting for him to get me on something else though.

      The nexplonon made me gain 80 pounds and then I got an eating disorder when I got it out. Lexapro did not make me gain weight.

          @bretange I've been on tri sprinyec *I think that the name* it was a birth control. But I got on meds that cancel it out
